I so enjoyed seeing your gorgeous neighborhood on your morning walk. What I love is you are real. The piles of laundry on the table and the kids running around is so refreshing. It is nice you had a visit from Grandma. Sure hope your friends and family can spend time with the children so you can get an occasional rest to do nothing or go somewhere you like. It is so nice that your older children can help mind the babies even for a few minutes. You seem to have settled in and are adjusting to your new home, which by the way is beautiful!

My baby girl(14 months now) would constantly spit up on my breastmilk. No matter how bland my diet was, she would just spit up. We tried raw milk and still, spit up. Definitely diary sensative. 9 months old, our neighbor brought over goats milk and we started giving her that and no more spitting up. By 10 months old she just didn't want to nurse anymore and just wanted the goats milk. I was sad, because i normally breastfeed for 2 years, but decided it was best for her tummy to just give her the goats milk. She still loves it, wants it all the time.

Freeze dry your eggs then grind to powder. Your garlic, your herbs. Your fruit like berries, apples, tomatoes, your soup, your ice cream sandwiches, your homemade broth then powder and place in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. Freeze your broth in cubes first makes it so so easy. Your cooked meat. Your cooked beef stew. Your onions!!!!

@@Brifromscratch It looks like either cane or bamboo. In either case, the best way to get rid of it, is to let all of the energy go to the leaves from the roots, and then cut it down as far as you can. Doing this multiple times, will eventually deplete the energy from the roots.

I accidentally discovered a deer repellent last year. I normally make my own fertilizer for my veg garden, and the day I went to pick up the ingredients there was no canola meal ( nitrogen source) so instead I used blood meal as it is 4 times stronger than canola. I never saw a deer in my yard until August, they never touched the flowers or any veg. Potatoes really like blood meal you could top dress with it.

Guarding is so good for your soul and I love that you were teaching your children, Bri, To enjoy the garden life… The reading process the cultivating process, the “hardening” of the plant BEFORE actual planting (I am willing to bet that 40 to 50% of the people we’re not even aware that that was important to do and if they stick their plants right in the ground upon purchase), so I hope they understood the importance of acclimating the plants to sunshine.
I had a dehydrator when my children were young and it was a wonderful way to preserve healthy food as well as provide wonderful snacks however, one day someone that they really like came into our home and made fun of the hydrated food and they would no longer eat any of it. You are doing SO MANY THINGS RIGHT, BRI.. letting the children have hands-on and so many of the processes from gardening& the Value of growing your own food, to hydrating, & teamwork for housework and Especially dining together, as well as teaching them Your Faith❣️❣️
Be proud of yourself because we are proud of you, Bri♥️❣️
By the way your oldest daughter is a big help to you. I was in the position of caring for six younger children in my family and hoping to cook the meals and housework at Cetera so that my parents were able to farm and do our jobs to help pay the farm off and I learned a lot which prepared me for the role of housewife in motherhood and just taking pride and caring for my home and the joy of gardening. At about 11:55, it looks like a "blue rug juniper" and the "river cane" you have, please for the love of your garden, if you ve to pull it our in pieces, get all of the runner root and main roots or it will destroy your garden ... it may take quite some time to get rid of it all by pulling it by hand whenever you see any starting to poke it's ugly head, but you have to stay on top of it or it will completely take over and the only way to get rid of it then is to remove the soil (usually about two feet deep and more sometimes) ... I am sure your fence garden will be even more beautiful with each passing year ... and the perennial herbs will be beautiful also ...

Bri the plant that you don't want growing anywhere is bamboo. It will invade your garden. You will need to find a way to remove it so it doesn't take out your garden and fencing.

That cane is bamboo and has a tough and connected root system. Really invasive.

So many beautiful plants in your yard. After you showed us the mountain laurel, sedum and hostas… you asked what that green landscaping shrub was.. it is called blue star juniper I believe.. it stays short and only speeds 2feet. Lucky girl to have such a yard♥️♥️♥️♥️

you really need to get rid of them soon if you dont like them by digging the roots out because they keep growing
