cellrok thanks man. Drums and bass are the TB2 and some of the samples you hear. And if I’ve remembered correctly there’s also an OB6, D1, and dominion club in there somewhere.
@@CaveWay Alright, thats cool. I will also pair it with other synths. Hope swapping samples is easy. I get my TB2 tomorrow! I also noticed it runs off just 5v USB? Have you tried running it mobile, with a powerbank? That would be fun :)
cellrok awesome man they are fun. I recently downloaded the 1.7 firmware so I plan to test it out with logic today and see how the usb midi clock works. Sample management is easy with the MFB tool - it’s a fun machine.
Bought the TB2 based off your vids, it just sounds fantastic! I've been searching for a good drum machine for a while but as soon as I heard the TB2 something about it speaks to me.
They should light up when the particular voice/instrument is muted.... Which personally is the opposite of how I would have programmed it to work but maybe they’ll make it switchable in a firmware update
@@CaveWay Thanks a lot for this, very helpful. Sorry to pester again but I have been trying to find the answer for one thing, I asked elsewhere on the internet as well but so far no answer. This device has a "REAL REC" mode where if you enable it and then just press the buttons while the sequencer is playing, the sounds get recorded. However, if I change the sample sound by selecting a different sample, it always plays the Sample1 sound. For instance if I change Clap sample to sample 15 by selection. Turn on the sequencer press the clap, it will play #15 but record #1. If I manually put the notes in then it will do the new sample but in real rec mode I could not get this to work. Any ideas please? Is this the default behaviour? Manual just says use Sample key to change the sample which I did. But then when I record by tapping the buttons while the sequencer is running in real Rec mode, nothing. Also pressing Instrument/Sel sometimes will change the sound setting(pitch etc) of the sound randomly as well.
@@CaveWay I would always pick in the airport stores future music or sound on sound and various british and european music zines that would always have some compilations cds in them...
Emarqueze thanks. the cool thing about the TB2 is it has 2 kiks and then you could even use the low Tom as a third kik if you wanted. AND if you want it to punch more you can upload an attack sample to one of the slots to help push it through the mix.
Hey man, your videos with the Tanzbar 2 caused me to pull the trigger and order one, I've watched them repeatedly for a few weeks. If you don't mind, what power supply are you using?
It did come from Thomann. They originally told me it would only have a euro style power supply but when I opened the box there was a bag of various adaptors that can be swapped out. Evidently they didn’t know.
@@CaveWay haha, lots of mysteries with Thomann. Getting my payment submitted was an adventure, then they shipped it UPS without me requesting it and they didn't charge me for it, I'm not complaining. Hopefully I get those same adapters! Supposed to receive it tomorrow, that will be 3 days from Germany to VA. If that happens, wow.
I had the same problem with my banks fraud protection. I think I tried it 4 times before it worked. Mine got held up in customs because it came from the Usps and then I had to pay import duty which I did not expect!
Luk Vermeir the shuffle is from the MPC. They seem to have the best algorithm for that funky vibe. The reverb is built in on the Yamaha mixer. It’s no big sky reverb but it’s still a musical sounding verb.
@@CaveWay Thanks! So everything just goes into the small MG mixer? No limiting / compressing or other processing afterwards? Sounds pretty nice! Love the subtle vinyl crackle as well, gives the track some extra vibe. I guess that's a sample on the MPC though.
Luk Vermeir you got it! the vinyl sample is def from the MPC. Everything is running into the boss micro recorder. It may have some built in compression or limiting built into it but it’s nothing I’m consciously doing.
Gregorio Trejo most sounds but not all. The drum sounds and the bass line are from the Tanzbar 2. There’s an off screen ob6 doing the chords. The dominion club is doing the digital osc percussive stuff with lots of reverb and the dominion 1 is playing a simple melody in the middle
Thanks 🤙I used the MPC for the longest time to sequence because I didn’t fully grasp the UI. Having the Tanzmaus then the TB2 helped me get into the MFB workflow though
Dope grooves! Really feeling it. Is it all just the Tanzbar2 only?

That's rad, do you send control changes from the Akai?
Nice groove

@@CaveWay Do you know if the LED lights on the mixer light up? Just wondering how that happens?

great tune takes me back to 98
xisotopex thanks man! It was a good year!
@@CaveWay I wish I could go back to those days... travelling the world to a soundtrack of new music

smooth & silky! great jam!

nice groove! like like like
Chris Wolf thanks dude 🙌
Wow. Put that to tape man. Your visuals are good too
LocaliLLocano thanks 🙌!
Is that kick from the tanzbar? Or sample?
Emarqueze it’s from the TB2.
@@CaveWay daaamn the kick is pretty neat tho! U patched it really well

Emarqueze it’s all good. 🙌
Very nice.
Craig Z 🤙
@@CaveWay Been thinking about replacing my Drumbrute... Tanzbar 2 and Rytm 2 are top contenders.
Craig Z nice. I’ve had some elektron gear. But never a Rytm. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either one
That's rad! do you send control changes from the Akai?
Fabrice Million thanks! And for sure - in this instance the MPC live is controlling/triggering everything.
is that the tanzmaus next to the tanzbar 2?
nevermind similar form factor dominion club
xisotopex you got it! I am def an MFB fan.
You, just made me pull the trigger...
Aura Allure sick, welcome to the club
Have you always used hardware sequencers or did you migrate from a DAW?
Hog Tramp always with HW sequencers until recently. Started using a laptop. Much easier to record and mix/master. How about you?
Hey man, your videos with the Tanzbar 2 caused me to pull the trigger and order one, I've watched them repeatedly for a few weeks. If you don't mind, what power supply are you using?

decent Jam Dude!!! are u sequencing the MFB with the MPC, or mfb-internal-sequencer?
Thanks man 🤙 I’m using the MPC to sequence the MFB. The TB2 is capable but I’m so used to the MPC sequencer
