When grinding the stat missions pick your poison, you do not need to follow the quit out method if you feel you can do other game modes and efficiently complete that mission. I just find that for a newer/less skilled or even decently skilled player, this would be a whole lot easier/faster!

One good method I found in Mini Seasons is I won 5 on Legend, did the 30 K & TB missions(7Vouchers). Then switching to All Star 15 wins with winning the 🏆(7Vouchers). 14 total Vouchers in 1 play through for 28 total program pts, plus the pxp & stats from Marte & Billy. Now I can hit Conquest or grind out more Wins in mini seasons(repeatable).
So I'm at 83 points out of the 100 needed for Griffey...yes I'm doing it the slow way. As far as moments I did: Piazza's (by sheer luck somehow), Cain's, Wagner's and the 7-run comeback. Got the 5k and 10k non repeatable PXP along with Marte's hits, Piazza's HRs and Billy's saves as well as the 3 points per repeatable 25k PXP. P.S. If you need the Piazza HRs, load up against the A's or Tigers at Costco HQ Field. With the PXP, I basically put it on Marte's back until I got Wagner then kept getting 3 inning saves or conquest saves. The 25k PXP may be a slower method but for me, I'll feel a sense of accomplishment when I get Extreme Griffey Jr.
Thanks dude. I was hoping i could avoid that showdown garbage....at least avoid needing it to finish the program....i may try it, but its less stress if its not necessary to finish the program.

I may be wrong but I thought you had to record at least 7 ABs before your stats from a game counted. Thought they did that to prevent the 1 AB then quit method.

Conquest will be easier than the showdown because of all the 99s you should have in your team. Pick the guys you swing the best with. I might go ahead and make a guide tot he conquest map based on who the 5th pitcher is.

Does anyone else get the lag as the pitch approaches the plate?Most of the time it occurs when cpu grooves one over the heart of the plate and it completely wrecks your timing
You could do it that way, I just find the quit out method more time efficient because when you unlock Billy you’re going to be forced to play mini/conquest in general so why not just wait and grind both together.
Stats are recorded as soon as a hitter/pitcher completes an at bat allowing you quit out. PXP is only recorded when there is an 8th plate appearance forcing you to hit around.
Ketel sure, Ken Griffey Jr. is core so always usable but the ones in between, absolutely not. Adley > Mike, Billy gets replaced w/ any decent LHP, Cain doesn't have the velocity to really hang on higher difficulties, his H/9 is what carries him. So, if you just went after Ketel and called it a day and just naturally PXP grinded all the way to completion that would be perfectly okay too.
I understand the moments can get frustrating due to the difficulty some of them are @, but there are ways to attempt to make it easier for one such as using directional on the legend difficulty. This program is not meant for the weak hearted, it's an extreme program. Grind for a reason. Conquest is the easier of the two when it comes to showdown because you use a team full of 99s vs live series players, so even being below skill, it could be done.

What I did was moving on to timing hitting and just wait for a strike and took me between 10-15 minutes.

I get it sometimes on my ps4, I would assume it’s just because the console is older. I also would think that the ps5 won’t lag at all.
It’s old gen problem. I got the series S and the game is fluid
I'm on new gen an this only happens to me occasionally during online games. Never happens offline so I'm guessing it's just an old gen thing.

I think you need to bat once through. If you quit out before doing that I didn’t think you would get credit.
