I don’t think that sad looking foxglove is actually a foxglove… unless it’s a very unusual one! The thing you says was a small hollyhock looks more like it could be your foxglove x
I had a fence replaced last June - we had about 10 conifers removed at the same time which created a space for new planting - I grew lots of pots of perennials ready to put in when the work was completed - my lawn was affected in one corner there was no grass - I hoed raked reseeded and watered it it only took about 2 weeks for the grass to recover - I'm on North east coast of Yorkshire (Whitby) am looking forward to really filling out the borders this year 🌿🌺🐝🌼🏵️ I would definitely try lifting and potting anything you want to save 🌿
It’s quite a disruption having a fence replaced. I haven’t prepared any plants to go in when it’s finally done. Sounds like you did some good planning with the perennials, they are worth the effort when they finally flower.
I just found your channel. Can I ask why you have a garden shed at the back of the garden, at the place that gets the most sun? I would expect that to be a prime plant spot. Is there no room for it anywhere else?
I always say the shed has the best spot in the garden ! It was in that location when I bought the house (it was painted dark brown and was an eyesore!). I have thought many times about moving it, well, actually getting a smaller different shaped shed and putting it by the house. Once I even completely emptied the shed in preparation for a new plan. I can’t remember what happened and how it got filled up again. And other things have gone in the space where the new shed would have gone. I am still thinking of the new plan but I don’t think it will happen this year, (there is some work going on in the house). but then, you never know.
2:24 you can move almost anything as long as you keep the root ball intact
Hoping the root balls are not too big and I can get them out without damage. Maybe I will have to store bigger ones in a bucket for a short time 🤔

I wasn’t sure myself, we’ll see what becomes of it …
Gorgeous colour of Hyacinths 😍😍💜✨🥰
Thank you. This year I am really loving the dark purple ones (Woodstock)

I have a north facing front garden and I was worried I couldn’t plant anything in it because of the constant shade
The obvious choices are ferns and woodland plants. Now I’m always on the lookout for anything that can grow in the shade 👀
3:18 that's glory of snow or chinodoxia
Thanks again 😊
