    There certainly is a trick to peeling hard boiled eggs, if you peel a small hole in one side of the egg and another slightly large hole in the other side, what you can do is blow in the smaller side and the egg will slide straight out, you'll see!

  • @MichaelSoothingASMR
    @MichaelSoothingASMR 9 років тому +12

    For perfect hard boiled eggs easy to peel, forget salt and all that nonsense that doesn't work. What you do, get the water boiling first, slip the eggs in after it starts boiling, (leave the water a bit low so you don't have to drop them a long way in and break them, cook 8 or 9 minutes, then place them in cold water that stays cold, either a pan of ice water or run cold water continuously into the pot in the sink.Let them stay cold for a long time. Easy to peel every time. No complicated 'eggies' no salt, etc.

    • @snowflakeandSunshine
      @snowflakeandSunshine 9 років тому

      Or just boil them with baking soda crack 2 openings (1on top one on bottom ) and blow the the top hole then the egg slides out the bottom hole

    • @MichaelSoothingASMR

    The egg separator is probably the best "tool" that came in the box (based on what I've seen from this video). It actually looks like a helpful and safe way to remove the egg whites from the yolks, without breaking the yolks. It could be marketable on it's own, for people that don't like to use the pass the yolk method (from 1/2 the shell to the other 1/2 shell) to separate their eggs.

    Tiny icecubes are great for making sauces to be used later. You make a sauce and then, while it is still very, very hot, you pour it out and make ice cubes. You can then keep those cubes in a plastic bag or something in your freezer, and throw them into a dish that you're cooking for instant sauce. I bet each cube is 1 teaspoon. You can also get 1 tablespoon ones. Great for making stir fries and whatnot.

    BTW, a lot of people use icecubes that small for minced garlic. Mince up garlic, throw it in icecube tray to freeze. Maybe with a little bit of melted butter to give it more shape, then keep the cubes. Also minced ginger and herbs. When you get a bunch of fresh herbs you can mince them and freeze them in into ice cubes, again maybe with a little butter.

    The jello sounds like a cute idea but remember if you never freeze them after the cooling process they will still remain soft and it could be a little messy if not done in a perfect ratio. However if you could make it work, you should deff add vodka & make jello cube shots :) just a thought. Good luck!

    i think that the time it takes to put the Eggies together and to put the non stick spray on and to crack in the raw eggs, you would have the eggs in the shells half cooked already. also once you remove the egg shells, you don't have to wash the shells. you do however have to wash the eggies

  • @redddragon2593
    @redddragon2593 9 років тому +2

    After you cook the egg you plunge it into ice water. And I mean drain out the water you used to boil the eggs in, pour in a little bit of water and then put in ice. You need to stop the cooking process. Leave them for about 15 to 20 minutes Then peel them.

    Also a quick way to peal a hard boil egg or a trick to doing it quickly is as follow:
    Peal both ends of the egg, top and bottom.
    Grip the egg and blow through the top of the egg (The pointy tip?) with the larger end being the exit.
    The egg should shoot out of the shell smoothly if the holes you pealed were large enough.

    The ice cube tray looks like one of those trays that people use to freeze fresh herbs for later use. You'd chop up some of the fresh herbs and put a tiny bit of water into the cube with the herbs. When you need a fresh herb, you just pop a couple out and add them to whatever dish you're cooking :)
    You can actually buy the pre-made herb trays at the grocery store too. Have a basil, garlic, and cilantro one in my freezer right now.
