Hello, I was watching one of your old videos on Schedule D. I received a notice of deficiency for a previous year, it looks like I have to report my cost basis to them (crypto). My question is do I have to include form 8949 or can I just report it on schedule D in box 1a?
    Thank you !

Never mind I think I just answered my own question. I need form 8949 because the cost basis was never originally reported, right?
