If Apple cares much about the environment then don't bring out new I phone every year but every 2 years , disappointed that Apple don't include the plug and ear buds - costs don't come down and get we getting less from Apple . People would still buy the plug if they need it . I can't get the I phone 13 as superstitious of the number 13, lol . I currently have a I phone 8 Plus 256gb & would prefer a bigger storage . I hate the notch being part of the screen but might have to if I get the I phone 12 pro. I cannot go for the I phone 12 pro max as it be too big to use .
Still dont understand why people complain for not including the charger...Yes i understand it comes with a USBC to lightning cable and you may not have a USB C Charger, but if you switched from older iPhone you would already have a lightning cable that WORKS with this year iPhone! if you dont have a USB C Charger, then it may be a good time to invest on a good USB C Charger? get a 65W one and it can charge all your device, switch, macbook, iPad, iPhone, you name it!
@@christ3405 you should upgrade its really really different specially if you want to take photos, camera is good, battery life can last upto wholeday, and charging is fast with 18w charger, downside is there is no headphone jack.
Yup. Just upgraded from iPhone 6s to iPhone 12 pro. But unfortunately have to wait for it to be shipped. But I’m sure it’s going to be so much better than my prehistoric phone. Haha
thankfully i was able to upgrade this phone is amazing. went over 14 hours and was still at 26% before i charged it at the end of the day compared to my 6 that most likely would have lasted and hour and a half with no charge

Fun fact: Portrait Mode on iPhone 7 was planned to be applied in to the photo AFTER you took the picture and not be shown in the viewfinder while you’re taking it, but then the human interface design team insisted that the user should see a live preview of the bokeh effect being applied. Then they agreed that that was the right way to do it, in real time.

Not gonna lie, I didn’t expect much from this. I’ve seen a dozen reviews already but, a lot of reviewers missed a good amount of the things you talked about. I think a lot of the big guys have lost the love for reviewing and didn’t bother doing their homework. They don’t bother thinking too deeply about the features in the phones and why they are there anymore. So this video was really refreshing. Good work.

Well, I partly agree *lol*. Yet, I found, that after the "excited salesman" babble, there were actually interesting infos given. I've just changed from Android to an SE a few months ago and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Just miss the possibility to install non-App-Store-Apps from itch.io to play those Indie Games. But since I can play those still on my Linux Laptop or ancient MacBook (2009), I can spare that. So, it's nice to see why the Apple Ecosystem is so pleasant for the most part. It's not as flexible as Android, which is Linux-based, but it's pretty responsive and stylish, I give Apple(-fanboys/-girls/-persons/-animals/-furries/etc. and anything in between) that ^_^ My old Sony Phone worked for about 7 years until its lags drove me crazy. I'm curious how long the SE will hold up and if I can change the battery by myself with a bit of fiddling or if I need to hand it to an Apple-licensed Vendor around here, since there's no Apple Store where I live yet (there's only one, that is about 100 km away, which I won't get a Car-Share for, let alone use the otherwise very convenient Public Transport Options for). I like the Overall Security Options and think Apple is still pretty trustworthy when it comes to their Data Protection Options and the User Choices they offer. First thing I did was turning off Siri though for that reason, but I might use it even since I learned, that there's an option to opt-out of the human review part for Siri. Anyway, in the end, I don't understand the @MaxTech dudes as salesmen, but take it in the context/framing of "if you really want to or need to get a new phone these days, here are the choices and the audience each of the choices are most appealing to with the given options and features of the phone models". - I mean: who doesn't like ("Freedom" of) choice, right? ;-) I'm curious, if #Apple will eventually be one of the first to adapt #Graphene #Batteries for their devices though - that would be *really* awesome and innovative then - not just because of the much higher energy density these will have, but also the higher voltages they can be charged with without heating up so much, that the batteries go up in flames, because they're gonna be solid and not fluid then. - But, it's still some time until that can even happen, because mass production of this material is still only in it's infant stages these days. Hopefully once I need a new phone, it'll be available though. - (Hopefully that will only be) Once we're starting with 6G then *lol* Fascinating times these are - and once we're all vaccinated with the COVID-19-vaccine, we can go about exploring them even more again. But I can imagine that Nature will the happy about the break she got from so many people being forced to limit their travels and not stomping, littering or outright destroying habitats for a while. I just upgraded to the 12 Pro from a X. The 12 Pro feels absolutely amazing. Much more powerful. Way faster. Camera is my favorite part. I’m in love with this thing!

I’m ok without the headphone jack as I use Bluetooth headsets exclusively now. But I will miss the home button dearly. I kept the 6S so long because it still works so great! But it is finally showing its age as it can’t keep up with me sometimes, therefore I am finally upgrading
I was trying really hard to fight the temptation of experiencing every iPhone. When I upgraded from my favorite silver iPhone X to the iPhone 11 Pro I regretted it shortly after. And for 2 years I’ve been debating selling it and just going back to the X. Then the 12 Pro came with the flats sides. Max Tech is right on this!! It feels friggn amazing!!! I struggled going caseless with the 11P. So I bought cases for it. But for the 12P there is no need for me to buy a case. Especially with my super dry hands. The flat sides give an easier surface to grip. The 11P would always roll out of my palms like a bar of soap. So ya I upgraded for the flat sides to go caseless. No regrets on this one. Everything is mentioned in this video is just a bonus. 🍻
I currently use the 11 pro and had about every iPhone prior. This is the first year I don’t even feel the need or “hype” to update. The battery is worse and the camera basically the same. No 120hz etc. basically the same phone but square. I’m out for this year.
I totally agree with your opinion. I came from a 10R. I bought the 12 Pro and I really like it. I was able to buy the 256 for the first time ever with the iUP program, a new phone every year. What fun.
Just got my iPhone 12 Pro and I LOVE it! I had the iPhone 8 before so it’s an amazing upgrade. And yea I couldn’t care less that they got rid of the charging block and earbuds since I already have Apple’s 30W USB-C fast charger I got separately when I bought my iPhone 8 and AirPods Pro. I’m so happy that I could get this phone for the same price as the 11 Pro was and have all the extra features. So glad I decided to wait another year!

Most of the ones I’ve seen on the 12 Pro really go in deep on what it lacks (such as 120 Hz and weaker battery life) but in your review, it is written to highlight all the good stuff and added new features Apple put in while keeping the same price point!!! I currently have the 12 Pro and upgraded from my 2017 X, immediately noticed the camera improvements, speed and RAM improvements and the slightly bigger screen :)

The modem is SO much better. I upgraded from the iPhone X to the iPhone 12 Pro, and the new cellular modem is so so much faster even with 5G turned off.

My carrier doesn’t have a 5G network. When I upgraded to the 12 pro was very confused about how I was getting 80-100 mbps LTE speeds all of the sudden! I guess that new Qualcomm modem is doing a really good job for LTE👌
Rodolpho's Tech channel Maybe for your area it’s slow. I live a rural coverage area and usually saw closer to 30mbps while at home. So it may not be fast by some urban standards, going from 30ish to 80-100 is a pretty decent leap.
The smallest text size of the iPhone XR/11 is much smaller when compared to the smallest text size of the iPhone XS/11 Pro. Is there any difference between the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro? Thanks
it depends on you. imo, the iPhone 8+ can last for another 2-3 years with software updates, so there’s no need to upgrade for me personally, tho it’s really up to you.
Wait for the 12 Pro Max because it is more of a better upgrade than the 12 Pro mainly with camera hardware and battery life as you're coming from the 7.
the iphone 5 is my favorite apple design ever and because of that i thought about upgrading my iphone 11pro to the iphone 12 pro. I was checking for the unit the other day and seriously i could feel the difference immediately once i held it. Yess from the design and also from the screen that become a little bit more flat and expands and the camera stability is bomb. Didn't notice any other difference so far tho because my phone still haven't arrived yet. Hopefully would get them this weekend! So excited

I actually got to hold an iPhone 12 today. One of my coworkers got the dark blue 12. Damn was it noticeably lighter. I am actually waiting on the 12 Pro Max preorder next Friday. I will be taking a chance and trading in my 11 Pro Max. I am blessed to be able to financially upgrade yearly if I choose to so if it’s a dud on battery life, hopefully Qualcomm’s X60 modem next year will allow for Apple to put in a larger battery so we can finally get that 120HZ, with 5G and have 11 Pro Max battery life.
I am currently using a iPhone 12 Pro and I just really love the way the phone looks. I don’t have a any problem with the notch nor the 60hz screen. All applications launches at a fast speed and the OS/software is on point with application support and updates. CONS: what I absolutely hate the most is how the phone feels in my hand; first I was really excited about the flat edges but now I really regret it as it has become the reason I hate holding the phone in my hands. The flat edges aren’t necessarily sharp however it really digs into my palm and my fingers. Holding the phone for over a period of time, my hands starts too really hurt. My iPhone 12 Pro has some thermal throttling issue as it overheats (during the second day I got it) and then will STOP to launch ANY APP. The touch screen has some miscalibration as I noticed I would accidentally click on something I was NOT trying to click on. I am most definitely disappointed with the camera system. The lens focus is slower than I had expected, color quality are a bit over touched and sharp (probably due to software contrast). Multitasking is complicated and slower than on Android and so I am a little annoyed and agitated. I really like this phone but I have been utterly disappointed. I’m considering downgrading to a iPhone 11 Pro 😔
You really telling us this is the biggest improvement since the 6s because 1. It feels nicer to hold 2. The battery is worse than the previous generation 3. The phone has 5g that you should turn off anyway to save more battery because LTE is perfect

I take photos and videos from almost every place I visit as a tourist. I got inspired when I compared my photos from iPhone XR from the iPhone 12 Pro. At night, the phones I took from the top of an apartment building at night were so sharp and well-detailed that even video editing wasn’t necessary. Since I know how to take photos and videos well with iPhone 12 Pro, I feel like this is the most suitable phone. Not to mention that the camera is so brilliant that it can even take videos in areas that I couldn’t think of (coming under direct sunlight). Just make sure that if you are getting a case for it, don’t put one bulky protective case for too long. Heat can damage battery health. Don’t fully use the phone storage as the battery health will be affected too in a different way (based upon my experience). Finally, the reason earphones and charging adapter aren’t included is not because they want to save the environment. According to the channel you referred to, Apple is actually doing more unnecessary packaging than how much it used to do.
So tired of tech "reviewers" trying to convince people each and every year that it makes sense to upgrade to the new iPhone even when they own the previous model. If they could convenience us to change the current model with the same model mid-year they would. Nuff said.

The only reason to wait for the iPhone 13 is for a 120Hz display. That's exactly why Apple didn't include it, or people would have no reason to upgrade for years. As always, brilliant review.

Nah, their innovation is slower than a damn turtle. If they will think of that on the iPhone 13, the best that they can only do is 90Hz or worse is it will still be 60 Hz.

Well the built in MagSafe hardware is of no use unless you have the MagSafe charger & 20W charging brick(exclusively from Apple). The whole setup costs an additional 60$ over the price of the phone. Apple has set a wrong precedent here in the name of saving the environment.
Maxtech I understand where your coming from but that hit is a lot , and I’ve had my pro from day one , it took almost a week to get a balance , but the battery is a fare cry from last years pro models and I would have preferred a bigger battery over magsafe . I don’t see the point of going from an amazing battery life to going to a less than stellar battery especially with 5g which my phone has picked on more and more since the phone Came out. Battery is my only issue with my phone , and I’m a power user and love the new from factor
Great review. Very well thought through and honest. The observations on the modem and the lidar on video are something I’ve not seen not covered on other reviews. And I think your view on the charger and headphones is the best presented argument I’ve seen. Def financial first, enviro second decision from Apple, but on balance, I agree it was a good call by them.
I just got one last Saturday coming from the 8 plus. There are many subtle improvements. I considered the Max which is the same size as the 8 plus but I wanted a slightly smaller phone and wasn’t fussed about the slightly reduced camera specs. I was very interested in LiDAR.
You did the best job I’ve seen so far in explaining the reasons to upgrade to this phone. Had I seen this I would have waited to get the iPhone 12 max instead of settling for the 11 pro Max this year.
I simply upgraded from my Xs because they went back to the old design which was my favorite iphone design ever! So in conclusion- I'm never upgrading again lol

Like honestly - I’ve watched tons of iP12 reviews and this is the best one. It literally made me almost buy one for myself (I realized that I can’t afford one on checkout screen xD) because you focused on things that matter the most when using phone everyday. I'm curious, if #Apple will eventually be one of the first to adapt #Graphene #Batteries for their devices though - that would be *really* awesome and innovative then - not just because of the much higher energy density these will have, but also the higher voltages they can be charged with without heating up so much, that the batteries go up in flames, because they're gonna be solid and not fluid then. - But, it's still some time until that can even happen, because mass production of this material is still only in it's infant stages these days. Hopefully once I need a new phone, it'll be available though. - (Hopefully that will only be) Once we're starting with 6G then *lol*
Fascinating times these are - and once we're all vaccinated with the COVID-19-vaccine, we can go about exploring them even more again. But I can imagine that Nature will the happy about the break she got from so many people being forced to limit their travels and not stomping, littering or outright destroying habitats for a while.

I’m ok without the headphone jack as I use Bluetooth headsets exclusively now. But I will miss the home button dearly. I kept the 6S so long because it still works so great! But it is finally showing its age as it can’t keep up with me sometimes, therefore I am finally upgrading

I was trying really hard to fight the temptation of experiencing every iPhone. When I upgraded from my favorite silver iPhone X to the iPhone 11 Pro I regretted it shortly after. And for 2 years I’ve been debating selling it and just going back to the X.
Then the 12 Pro came with the flats sides. Max Tech is right on this!! It feels friggn amazing!!!
I struggled going caseless with the 11P. So I bought cases for it.
But for the 12P there is no need for me to buy a case.
Especially with my super dry hands. The flat sides give an easier surface to grip. The 11P would always roll out of my palms like a bar of soap.
So ya I upgraded for the flat sides to go caseless. No regrets on this one.
Everything is mentioned in this video is just a bonus. 🍻

I currently use the 11 pro and had about every iPhone prior. This is the first year I don’t even feel the need or “hype” to update. The battery is worse and the camera basically the same. No 120hz etc. basically the same phone but square. I’m out for this year.

I totally agree with your opinion. I came from a 10R. I bought the 12 Pro and I really like it. I was able to buy the 256 for the first time ever with the iUP program, a new phone every year. What fun.
Just got my iPhone 12 Pro and I LOVE it! I had the iPhone 8 before so it’s an amazing upgrade. And yea I couldn’t care less that they got rid of the charging block and earbuds since I already have Apple’s 30W USB-C fast charger I got separately when I bought my iPhone 8 and AirPods Pro. I’m so happy that I could get this phone for the same price as the 11 Pro was and have all the extra features. So glad I decided to wait another year!

The modem is SO much better. I upgraded from the iPhone X to the iPhone 12 Pro, and the new cellular modem is so so much faster even with 5G turned off.

My carrier doesn’t have a 5G network. When I upgraded to the 12 pro was very confused about how I was getting 80-100 mbps LTE speeds all of the sudden! I guess that new Qualcomm modem is doing a really good job for LTE👌
Rodolpho's Tech channel Maybe for your area it’s slow. I live a rural coverage area and usually saw closer to 30mbps while at home. So it may not be fast by some urban standards, going from 30ish to 80-100 is a pretty decent leap.

it depends on you. imo, the iPhone 8+ can last for another 2-3 years with software updates, so there’s no need to upgrade for me personally, tho it’s really up to you.

the iphone 5 is my favorite apple design ever and because of that i thought about upgrading my iphone 11pro to the iphone 12 pro. I was checking for the unit the other day and seriously i could feel the difference immediately once i held it. Yess from the design and also from the screen that become a little bit more flat and expands and the camera stability is bomb. Didn't notice any other difference so far tho because my phone still haven't arrived yet. Hopefully would get them this weekend! So excited

I actually got to hold an iPhone 12 today. One of my coworkers got the dark blue 12. Damn was it noticeably lighter. I am actually waiting on the 12 Pro Max preorder next Friday. I will be taking a chance and trading in my 11 Pro Max. I am blessed to be able to financially upgrade yearly if I choose to so if it’s a dud on battery life, hopefully Qualcomm’s X60 modem next year will allow for Apple to put in a larger battery so we can finally get that 120HZ, with 5G and have 11 Pro Max battery life.
I upgraded to 12 pro recently from a mid range android. The biggest changes and the best experience I have with this phone is the speaker.
Max's marketing is just top notch 😅. He just sold me the 12 pro but nah I ain't still buying.

I am currently using a iPhone 12 Pro and I just really love the way the phone looks. I don’t have a any problem with the notch nor the 60hz screen. All applications launches at a fast speed and the OS/software is on point with application support and updates.
CONS: what I absolutely hate the most is how the phone feels in my hand; first I was really excited about the flat edges but now I really regret it as it has become the reason I hate holding the phone in my hands. The flat edges aren’t necessarily sharp however it really digs into my palm and my fingers. Holding the phone for over a period of time, my hands starts too really hurt.
My iPhone 12 Pro has some thermal throttling issue as it overheats (during the second day I got it) and then will STOP to launch ANY APP. The touch screen has some miscalibration as I noticed I would accidentally click on something I was NOT trying to click on. I am most definitely disappointed with the camera system. The lens focus is slower than I had expected, color quality are a bit over touched and sharp (probably due to software contrast). Multitasking is complicated and slower than on Android and so I am a little annoyed and agitated.
I really like this phone but I have been utterly disappointed. I’m considering downgrading to a iPhone 11 Pro 😔

You really telling us this is the biggest improvement since the 6s because
1. It feels nicer to hold
2. The battery is worse than the previous generation
3. The phone has 5g that you should turn off anyway to save more battery because LTE is perfect

I take photos and videos from almost every place I visit as a tourist. I got inspired when I compared my photos from iPhone XR from the iPhone 12 Pro. At night, the phones I took from the top of an apartment building at night were so sharp and well-detailed that even video editing wasn’t necessary. Since I know how to take photos and videos well with iPhone 12 Pro, I feel like this is the most suitable phone. Not to mention that the camera is so brilliant that it can even take videos in areas that I couldn’t think of (coming under direct sunlight). Just make sure that if you are getting a case for it, don’t put one bulky protective case for too long. Heat can damage battery health. Don’t fully use the phone storage as the battery health will be affected too in a different way (based upon my experience). Finally, the reason earphones and charging adapter aren’t included is not because they want to save the environment. According to the channel you referred to, Apple is actually doing more unnecessary packaging than how much it used to do.
Pop Socket will never work with the magnets, it won't be anywhere near strong enough. I see this being a big issue, especially with the Max models.

The only reason to wait for the iPhone 13 is for a 120Hz display. That's exactly why Apple didn't include it, or people would have no reason to upgrade for years. As always, brilliant review.

Well the built in MagSafe hardware is of no use unless you have the MagSafe charger & 20W charging brick(exclusively from Apple). The whole setup costs an additional 60$ over the price of the phone.
Apple has set a wrong precedent here in the name of saving the environment.
Belkin have a license for it (mentioned at the 12 launch) so my guess is other 3rd parties will have it as well
Maxtech I understand where your coming from but that hit is a lot , and I’ve had my pro from day one , it took almost a week to get a balance , but the battery is a fare cry from last years pro models and I would have preferred a bigger battery over magsafe . I don’t see the point of going from an amazing battery life to going to a less than stellar battery especially with 5g which my phone has picked on more and more since the phone Came out. Battery is my only issue with my phone , and I’m a power user and love the new from factor
Great review. Very well thought through and honest. The observations on the modem and the lidar on video are something I’ve not seen not covered on other reviews. And I think your view on the charger and headphones is the best presented argument I’ve seen. Def financial first, enviro second decision from Apple, but on balance, I agree it was a good call by them.
I just got one last Saturday coming from the 8 plus. There are many subtle improvements. I considered the Max which is the same size as the 8 plus but I wanted a slightly smaller phone and wasn’t fussed about the slightly reduced camera specs. I was very interested in LiDAR.

Like honestly - I’ve watched tons of iP12 reviews and this is the best one. It literally made me almost buy one for myself (I realized that I can’t afford one on checkout screen xD) because you focused on things that matter the most when using phone everyday. I have to admit that sometimes your titles seem a bit “clickbaity”, but reviews like this are proof that you are reliable and trustworthy reviewer.
