SO EXCITED for this!! And excited for YOU! You’re hilarious and have really helped get a lot of people through these times with your humour and wit & impeccable comedic timing💗 Congratulations!!!
Thanks for sharing this personal stuff. You are helping a whole lot of people who are facing similar challenges. I wish I heard it when I was younger. I did not face all of them, but I am a creative who was urged toward more “practical” employment. (Though my practical employment had to be deeply meaningful to me, so I picked disability advocacy). My first strategy was similar to you: do both. But, perhaps also like you, I realized that splitting my energies between these two separate realities, and doing ok at each, meant I could probably excel more if I combined all that energy into more closely related endeavors. I never really figured out how to do that in a way that would scale, like your successful book writing. And now, at 50, I don’t have the energy to do both anymore. Luckily, about 50% of my day job did end up going very creative, those skills were recognized by my employer, and I’m seeing some solid success there. So it is a less exciting but still perhaps positive message: I’m very glad my creative drive never let me give up on it as I do love my day job even more now that it has both the heart of helping people through using creativity.
Hey fellow Sarah fan! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on creativity and career. I'm struggling with similar questions and I appreciate hearing your perspective. I'm glad you found a way to be creative at your job! IMO, if you're sustainably making money doing something that's not actively pushing you away from your creative goals and is allowing you to inch towards them, then you must be doing something right! :)
@@samhiatt Thanks Sam, that is kind of you to say. I hope you find a good path forward. I think it may have helped living in Alaska, too. Garrison Keillor has a piece where he writes, “‘This is the frontier. They ask you if you can do it and you say, ‘yes,’ because they’re not going to check your record. You can just go and try to do it. And even if you find out that you can’t do it, well at least you’ll know more about it than you did when you started. This is the great thing about the frontier: it’s that you have a chance.’” I’ve found this true in many ways.
R u kidding me. This is entertaining to u. If u watch Sienfield, Dave Chappell, Eddie Murphy etc stand up show then u will get a heart attack. Lypsync trump isn't comedy. WTF Atleast this one sound exact the same. ua-cam.com/video/WwE-WIdIzz8/v-deo.html
If Lilly Singh had a half-sister with Emilia Clarke
Dont cuss Lilly and Emilia
I see more of Emilia’s influence.
N it's not good. She is aweful in comedy. This one also

@@dsaasd6300 maybe no one. Maybe people who’d like to bring some light into the world instead of toxic garbage. I hope you figure that out some day.

Omg I follow you on tiktok!!! I had no idea you were famous!! Lol I LOOOOVE your Trump videos!! 😂😂
Watched your special, and we loved it, Sarah. Thanks for the back story.
Put a white wig on her and you've got a dead-on Emilia Clarke
When you find something that takes less effort than reaction videos XD
She's awesome; looking forward to this special!
I wish you the best !
Paid actors in the comment section?
That's why they are raising their prices XD
No need, people like making comments.
lol
who?
She got famous because of Trump ...
rather have netflix blow money on blow than this
It will be hilarious when Trump loses and she has no career
She had a career!?
Cool but the audio quality is quite bad. Wouldn't have taken too much effort to be much better.
You have a good bit, that's it though
Highly over-rated asf
Her lip sync videos are pretty much the opposite of funny. I wish her well though.
she's so awful
