On June 19th Valve Counter-Strike as a franchise will turn 25 years old. Throughout the years Valve tends to UPDATE CSGO with birthday or anniversary style updates, such as a free coin, case or event. CS2 though may not Could see an UPDATE very soon featuring some of the possibilities we discuss in todays video.

What do YOU think Valve could add?
An operation hopefully or bring back some old maps
a 25th anniversary sticker is what they are gonna do just for them to make money, if they do anything else i would be shocked
Bring back vip mode and oilrig map thundra too for the nostalgia
I think they going to add something big. In the pro scene they always says that Blast London is the last tournament of the season and I think valve maybe following the pro scene when it comes to the season so i think they will release Season 2 on CS2 and it might be together with a map or an operation. Operation usually last 16 weeks and that would fit pretty good for the RMR in the end of the year. But who knows...maybe we don´t get anything

@@rip2lucasX Should be obvious they do. We're getting medium sized updates monthly and game polishes are being made almost every other day. They hired a 3rd party to do overwatch, and are making small but noticiable changes to their anti-cheat. Given valves size I'm they could do more but they definetly care. I mean they would never release cs2 if they didnt care. Lack of communication is frusterating but I'm bullish towards cs2's future. Good chance we will get an operation before shanghai major imo. If not we'll have to wait until mid to late 2025 which would suck. If we dont get one 2025 then its over :(

i hate that i'm excited for updates just to see shit we have had for 5 years. What happened to all the game modes at the end of csgo?
Thats exactly what valve aims for. Fuck Innovation, lets get the players excited for old stuff... And of course sell skins and other bullshit cosmetics..
I don’t think they can miss on the 25 year mark. It’s a huge milestone, quarter of a century… has to be an operation w/ new case, maps and modes

I never really played cs that much I always hopped in and out over the lifespan of csgo but holy shit i literally remember when operation hydra came out feels like a couple years ago
PLEASE bring back TDM, normal DM is way too chaotic!
Everybody expecting huge content update, but let's be honest... The only thing we are most likely to get are chickens with birthday hats, and the zeus confetti gun.

25 years and design in the FPS genre still hasn't recovered from the design downfall that started with CS. On that note bring back some of the OG maps. Give us VIP maps back and the original Docks where you could swim/hide in water.

definitely starving for anything substantial. I really agree with the throwback to retro ideas, I said the same in my circles about reviving old maps and "concepts" but only for small windows to not burn out things like Iceworld, cs_assault, 1.6, fixed surfing, flying scoutsmen. As well as the bigger drops from Valve like multiple maps at once to really stir things up, a Mutli map drop would be nuclear and is definitely dream territory, which really makes think they could always switch the deck up and go big, while not shaking up the way the game plays just adding hopefully
I don't get why if something is wanted or going to be liked by the community it means that they won't do it...
I have low expectations from Valve. The community is like a little kid asking his dad for candy, but gets a carrot instead...

As a agency main in a group of agency players, we got in contact with one of the devs and he can't recreate the map due to a current non-compete agreement so he emailed the other dev and we haven't heard anything since, it's been over 6 months at least so hope for agency is dead at this point 🙃

@@luvreapsoul I'm a steam member since September 2003. 1.6 released in 2000, Source released in 2004. I know the age of CSGO/2 but they have the ability to see how long you've played cs. And could give 20yr veteran coins out on a 25th anniversary... is all i'm saying.

They will throw a small breadcrumb in the form of a pin or sticker, and the community will idolise it like the best update ever.
Theres some kind of a huge project comming soon
