- this tune is called "Lou",written by Alberto Marsico. i made a little version for guitar to demonstrate the beautiful sound of this amp.... this is my Vinetto SC52 into a Milkman 40w PedalSteelMini (2x10). recorded with my iphone (doesn't do justice to the beautiful bloom and velvety shimmer this amp delivers on chords).
Gorgeous playing and fantastic tone! I have a Vinetto SC50 incoming and I was searching UA-cam for videos to hold me over until it arrives. This is the best video out there, thank you!
the SC50 has become my main working horse. we got probably 600 gigs down. its really the best incarnation of a 50s Tele I've come across. I had a '52 here for a week that a friend was selling and I seriously considered it, but putting it side to side with the Vinetto I couldn't justify spending the money.
Thanks for the response, Lars! I owned a Vinetto DC60 a while ago and stupidly sold it. It was an amazing guitar and I’ve been wanting an SC50 for a while. I’m glad to hear that you still have and love yours! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful music!
Gorgeous playing and tone!!!!
very nice Lars! Really like the cords and how you put them together!
wow
my next amp!
GREAT!!!!!!
Do you miss the tremolo that is not provided in the mini compared to creamer? I think Tim can design a 2x10 mini with trem and reverb. Would love to know cost to order. I'll have to email him
This is just incredible! Do you ever put an overdrive in front of it? Do you find it to be a "mini Steel String Singer" ?
thank You! i use it just with a cable all the time, has the perfect breakup and volume at club situations. it can be a bit picky with pedals, due to the clear"hi-fi" highs.
Waiting for a pedal steel vid. Thx great. Why did you choose this over a creamer? Thx and great playing
cheers....cab size and headeoom are suited better for my gigging applications
A couple questions for you: (1) How do you see this amp for at-home volume? Too loud to get a good sound? That tone you get in the video sounds great but I'm not sure if you're blasting it. (2) Have you been able to play the Creamer, as well? Any thoughts on the differences in tone and volume?
it's great for use at home and studio, however the sweet spot is at club volume, with a drummer who doesn't hit too hard. i play jazz trio gigs with this amp with just my telly and no pedals added
Quick question on Tele pick ups? Like a woody spongy tone not ice pick highs like on my other Tele. Do you recommend. Lollar, no caster or Virgil Arlo pick ups? What do you play here?
this particular tele came with Lollars and i'm so happy about them, i never thought about a change - i would have to look up if it's the '52 or Vintage set, definitely not the Specials....
Could you teach us this tune on video?
Or just showing closer your hands. I love this tune, and the way you play it
i lack the time unfortunately. i have written down the basic arrangement tho, so if You read music, i'd be happy to send You a PDF file. cheers
you really like this amp for jazz? what speakers are you using? it sounds very warm , i like that , not ice picky on the highs.
I am talking to tim marcus at milkman about a head version that takes 6v6 and 6l6. for 20 watt and 40 watt like the dairy air.
so i can hit the sweet spot at home volumes and can also gig with it. nice playing
it's perfect for "Jazz with Singlecoils" it makes my Telly "thump" with a nice fat clean compression. this one's got 2 Jupiter ceramic10" speakers.
