Another card often used with Tainted Strike was Mutagenic Growth - a pump spell that cost a single phyrexian green mana, so you could cast it for free by paying 2 life; which is basically entirely free because you're going to 1 or 2 shot your opponent anyway, so who cares about your own life total.
My friend used to play a red/black goblin deck that played warren instigator. He's gotten so many people who let the little 1/1 double striker through. After declare blockers he would cast a titans strength and tainted strike and just look at them with a shit eating grin.
It's crazy how you forgot to mention Anax, Hardened in the Forge when it comes to Embercleave. Anax's power is based on your devotion to red. If you curve out Embercleave, you can get it out as early on turn 4 and win with it because of how much it synergizes with Anax. Essentially it gives Anax +3/+1 with Double Strike and Trample and that isn't including devotion from other sources. Pioneer variants of Embercleave runs Anax as the main wincon.
9. Blacksmith's Skill is the reversed artifact version of Karametra's Blessing. 7. Blossoming Defense would later have a player version, Blossoming Calm. 3. El-drain. 1. Berserk would later have two new red versions, Fatal Frenzy and Unleash Fury. The former is a balanced version and the latter is balanced by the lack of trample that also removes the need for the sacrifice clause. Man, Infect just makes everything better.
Things like Blossoming Defence, and Blacksmiths Skills are cards i can vouch for, they have done a ton of work in my commander decks, and are espically great tools for keeping your commander alive offensively and defensively in decks that build on the commander itself like enchantment or equipment decks.
my favorite combat trick ever is MIrrorweave.... even if it has never seen play anywhere, that thing is so versatile and powerful when you build around it that it's certainly my favorite combat trick ever printed. I love that thing. I used to run it in a landfall deck with Knight of the Reliquary, Emeria Angel, Admonition Angel and some other goodies. oftentimes you'll tap Knight of the Reliquary, and with it's ability on the stack, you target Admonition Angel with your Mirrorweave.... then find a fetchland in your deck and proceed to "Oblivion Ring" pretty much the entire board of your opponent (given you control a couple of other creatures) The deck had a ton of other similar interactions and that made it very fun, versatile and explosive.

Even though Last Strike is decidedly unimpressive, I would like to see Triple Strike become a key word in at least Commander if not mainstream formats.
I play a 1 of become immense in modern little zoo with 4x boros charms, there are specific hands which can sneak in a turn 3 win with a +6/+6 double strike creature. Fun
I think the infect is useful especially for lower powers since the opponent might be ok with letting the damage through if they didn't know it will inflict poison
I wish they would print invigorate into modern. There’s free removal, free counter spells, free damage. I understand the card would only be used in infect as I my self played a mix of bant and sultai infect.
How do you mention Invigorate while not mentioning Mutagenic Growth? It's pretty much THE Infect combat trick, and you certainly seemed to focus on that quite a bit.
Its a minor nitpick but Sejiri Shelter would protect against multicolored creatures as well, not just mono colored. If that multi had the color Sejiri was trying to protect from.
Mutagenic Growth should have easily been #1 on the list. It's a "free" spell much like Invigorate, but unlike Invigorate it's usable in any deck (Not just ones containing forests) and sees a considerable amount of play (Compared to a few other selections on the list).

I'd say it's Liliana, Death Wielder. I understand the logic of why people say it's Tibalt, but that one could actually be used with the right kind of deck (mostly in Nekusar EDH decks, but it does work pretty nicely) That version of Liliana costs 7 but none of its abilities are dynamic enough to impact the board immediately (which they should for that price) and they don't even synergize with each other. Horrible design.

Fun fact : Berserk is the only mono-green instant in the game that's Mythic Rare.

It's worth mentioning that Blacksmith's Skill can target any permanent, not just a creature, so you can use it to protect your Hammer as well
