Very interesting! I will have to try this myself. Been using the same rubber for 5 years (on & off) and it's smooth as a baby's butt 👶🏽 (newbie here). I like chopping on both FH & BH Thanks for the upload!
Is it advisable making two separate glue surface treatment? That is, waiting the first treatment dry then make a second one. I read someone doing this thing with porous rubbers like tibhar evolution or tenergy. The first glue treatment makes the glue penetrate pores, the second creates the surface layer. Is it recommended?
Alex Skyer I used to do that when using speed glue, sometimes even doing 3 layers. I'm not too sure if more layers of water based glue affects the performance of high tension rubbers nowadays. Speed glue was made for older rubbers without tensor technology, however, since the ban of speed glue and the introduction of tensor rubbers, personally I think there's not need to apply multiple layers of glue anymore, as that's what tensor technology does.
I glued a Donic Bluefire M1 for a friend and I had to use two layers on the rubber, because the sponge was too porous. The first layer was almost completely absorbed by the sponge.
I need a help? Which rubber is better for me I am an attacker and I need more power than spin..... Tell in tenergy series as I am currently using 64 and 80.....
K yes. The most important thing is to do it at a medium speed. Not too fast and not too slow. It also depends on the brand of the rubber. Some sponges are harder or softer than others, causing it more likely to tear.
I need your help here, I bought a very common and recommended blade(Yinhe N9s) with (Mercury 2 Medium) rubber. when I played with it the four hand is very powerful and has a very good control, but the backhand is very bad, I could do anything basically, the ball just fly a way if I receive any spin . is the problem from the blade or from the rubber. thank you so much.
Comacho Comacho unless the blade is really poor quality then it’s the problem of the rubber. Blades are made with uniformity on either sides, but it is rare to have the same rubber on both sides.
As you can see in the video just one on both the rubber and the blade. There isn't much point in using multiple layers of water based glue. Only use multiple layers for speed glue.
Hello, I have an issue where the red rubber is coming away from the yellow sponge. would taking the red up and applying glue to the yellow work? or would I need to buy a whole new red rubber and yellow sponge? any help would be much appreciated
Nice stuff man. But i noticed one thing. Blade made the sponge bleed a little from the edges. I face the same problem. Is there any blade out there that goes through rubber n sponge like knife through butter?
schneiderss thank you for your comment. Actually I intentionally made it like that so if I do hit it against the table it won’t damage the blade but instead the rubber.
Hi, is there a reason you use black rubber T05 for forehand because I see a lot of paddles with red T05 for forehand glued to the side of the paddle where is description of paddle, name model serial etc... Probably it doesn't matter which side of paddle is used for FH and BH.
Dapper Fob they make it square because every blade has a different size, so if they make it round, it might not be big enough to fit some of the blades.
@@shingoukiex Is there any sealant you would recommend? Also, why do you cut two times, don't you get different angles for the cut of the sponge/rubber?
Florin Carata I have yet to use it myself. Actually I would like a good recommendation from someone as well. Cutting it twice ensures that the rubber or sponge won’t be damaged. The first cut cuts through the sponge only, and the second cut is through the rubber.
shingoukiex I have the same setup but the scalpel’s blade is smaller and it cuts very easily . One pass without much pressure and it’s done. I am satisfied with the result, but next time I will be looking at other blades.
hey friend can I change the rubber from a wakaba 2000, I dont know because i bought it on a store and I dont want to make shit my paddle please answer me thanks.
Nice and neat job. I'd think that hot hair drier would be good after the adhesion has been done, but then you can't heat the rubber side, it would damage it... So what do I know...
Not really. You let the adhesive go transparent before putting it together and it sticks very quickly, the drier is just to speed up that process. You can just leave it until it goes transparent
Santi Torres hello. Even if the pair of scissors are Sharon u still won't get a perfect clean cut because every time you stop to change the angle of the scissors you will get more or less an edge sticking out.
