    Is it advisable making two separate glue surface treatment? That is, waiting the first treatment dry then make a second one. I read someone doing this thing with porous rubbers like tibhar evolution or tenergy. The first glue treatment makes the glue penetrate pores, the second creates the surface layer. Is it recommended?

    • @shingoukiex
      @shingoukiex  8 років тому +4

      Alex Skyer I used to do that when using speed glue, sometimes even doing 3 layers. I'm not too sure if more layers of water based glue affects the performance of high tension rubbers nowadays. Speed glue was made for older rubbers without tensor technology, however, since the ban of speed glue and the introduction of tensor rubbers, personally I think there's not need to apply multiple layers of glue anymore, as that's what tensor technology does.

    • @shingoukiex
      @shingoukiex  5 років тому +3

      K yes. The most important thing is to do it at a medium speed. Not too fast and not too slow. It also depends on the brand of the rubber. Some sponges are harder or softer than others, causing it more likely to tear.

    • @shingoukiex
      @shingoukiex  5 років тому

      Comacho Comacho unless the blade is really poor quality then it’s the problem of the rubber. Blades are made with uniformity on either sides, but it is rare to have the same rubber on both sides.

      The one I use is a surgical knife for operation. You can use any sharp cutter knife and it'll work fine.

    is the T05 on your Backhand?

    • @shingoukiex
      @shingoukiex  7 років тому

      _ RulesTV no, T05 has a slightly harder rubber so it's more suited for the forehand. T64 is for the backhand, it has more control on passive plays like backhand blocks or punch shots.

      albert lopez No damage. I take a lot of care when changing rubbers especially when peeling. I change rubbers roughly once a year. Recently I've switched to Xiom rubbers because T series is too over priced for me to keep using on a yearly basis. Please watch the newest demonstration of my on gluing new rubbers! Thank for for your comment.
