🌷🌻girl I live in Atlantic Canada and we are buried in snow....and it's supposed to be -26 degrees Celsius on Saturday night! I'm still in a cosier fantasy mood - I'm right in the middle of Hell Bent. But I'm here for thoughts of Spring!
I was wondering if you could do a video on your top 10 favorite romance books im not really in to romantic but I would really like to try it out 📚📖 Thank you so much. Danielle 😘
I love the diversity in your spring reads! I have a bad habit of reading the same time of books over and over and I trust your recommendations so I’m definitely going to pick up some of these and try to diversify 😅
I’m in the middle of a psalm for the wild built🥰 I enjoyed this poison heart. I think I have it 3.5 just cause it was kind of slow but the vibes were🌸🌿🍃
💮Good luck with 100 Years of Solitude.... I just read it in January and am in the "not great" camp. Not sure why someone would be crazy about it, but you might love it. The family tree in the front will help keep you from being confused🤪
You should go ahead and get the second Monk & Robot book as well. Psalm for the wild Built was ok, maybe a little unsatisfying but I've heard the second book is more fulfilling. I wish I would have gotten both so I could have kept reading. Not sure if I'll finish the series or not BUT if you do I will 😂
I'm in summer currently, and after this month I'll be in autumn. But there are some reads I do want to get to. There is An Encyclopedia of Faeries which I recently purchased. There is The Wood Wife by Terri Windling. A couple Charles De Lint books which are The Wild Wood, Someplace to be Flying, and Moonheart. I also would like to read some poetry, preferably by Elizabeth Barret Browning and Courtney Peppernell.
I'm reading Keeper of The Lost Cities book 8. I started it for Middle Grade March last year. I'm hooked. You see how the characters grow and mature. You will like this series.
🌼 Thanks for sharing. I just put Simon Sort of Says, Keeper of the Lost Cities, and A Far Wilder Magic on my want to read list - thanks! I couldn't get into The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina , but I hope you enjoy it! And I just finished What Lies In the Woods -and all I can say is hold on! Because that book is a ride!!!! (it was my first time reading the author and I'm very curious to see what her thrillers for young readers are like). I don't have anything specific I'm looking forward to reading this spring - just hopefully making a dent in my TBR shelf!! LOL Thanks again!
Six Crimson Cranes and the sequel The Dragon's Promise is on my spring TBR. The colours are giving me spring vibes with the pinks, blues and purples - they're so beautiful 💙💕💜🌸
🌸 Ella and I are currently reading the 3rd Keeper of the Lost Cities book. The books are really great. (On a side note, we've renamed Silveny, the alicorn in the book, Princess Celestia after the lead alicorn on My Little Pony. 🤣🦄) We also read Eva Evergreen...and it totally screams Kiki's Delivery Service. In terms of books that I'M looking forward to reading this spring is anything off of my TBR shelves. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm currently reading Neon Gods, atm, though...so there's a good chance the next books in the series will magically appear on said TBR shelves for me to read. 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, so many new books to try on. I am also excited to see how Disney is coming out with modern concepts. Happy reading to you 🌸 hoping we all have wonderful time 🌺 💐
I freaking love your videos, Lexi ❤️🦊 You might not see this comment, but that’s okay. I’m going to write it anyway ❤️. I have read One Hundred Years of Solitude many times, and I hope this comment will help someone who feels very intimidated by it finally pick it up. But first, if you really don’t want another stranger telling you to read this book, you can stop reading this comment right here. First, general advice on how to get the most out of it. I hope it won’t make it look like a chore. I just think that this will make the experience more enjoyable overall. 1. Have the family tree on hand and use it as often as you need. 2. It is best enjoyed when you get immersed. So, I would say that it is not the right book for a quick ten-minute reading session. 3. If you are used to reading multiple books at a time, keep doing that. You want to have it fresh on your memory, sure, but you don’t want to overwhelm yourself. 4. And finally, don’t worry, you really don’t need to remember every single thing that happens to really enjoy it. I promise! Before I go on, please know that you are allowed not to read it; you are allowed to DNF it; you are allowed to not like it. There are millions of books out there. A few suggestions to finally read it: 😜 1. This will take less than five minutes. Stop reading this never-ending comment and read the first half of the first paragraph in the book up until it says “…waking up their souls”. You will get a taste of the author’s writing style; that’s all. You won’t regret it. 2. Bonus tip: you definitely can, but you don’t have to do it alone. Do a buddy read, organize a read-along, or find a friend who has already read it and loves it. They can help you with any questions that you may have. None of these are necessary, by the way. You might want to try one, both or none. That’s fine. That’s all. I’m sorry for making it this long. I tried to use the right words and now I’m late for dinner. LOL Lots of love!
Love the tips! I started reading the book like five years ago on a trip and got halfway and after that I just forgot to keep reading. I read it in spanish since it's my first laguage and it was wonderful, I hope the english translation does it justice ❤️ I'm planning to start it again since I saw Netflix is coming out with a series based on the book. I hope Lexi reads it and makes a review so we can all talk about it ❤️ Buen día to you all 🩵
@@luciamedina1O19 ¡Gracias, Lucía! I didn't know about the Netflix series! Fingers crossed that it will be good! I'm sure that this time around you will enjoy it even more than five years ago and that you will finish it. ❤️
I didn't re-read Ninth House before diving in and I felt like there were definitely gaps in my memory but Hell Bent kind of reminds us of key plot points throughout so it turned out fine.
I have faith and believe in you lexie you can read all these beautiful books this spring 📚❤️💓💓📚🤍📙📚💓📖📖💓❤️📚🤍🤍🤍🤍📙📙🤍📚💓💓💓📚📚📚❤️💓📚📙📙📙🤍❤️❤️📖📖📖💓❤️📚🤍🤍📙📙🤍📚📚🤍📙🤍🤍💓❤️📚🤍
I love "seasonal" TBRs but for some reason I have trouble identifying a "spring" read. The other 3 are pretty clear what I look for. But one I really want to get to is Sarah Perry's Essex Serpent. I read a couple of chapters a few years ago, liked it, got distracted and never finished. I think the green cover is what gives me spring vibes. One Hundred Years of Solitude has also been on my TBR for years (2008)... it might be time? 🌸🦊
I think cottagecore, elves, fairies, whimsical and romance for spring. So I'll be rereading the Cruel Prince series and I also love reading classics in the spring. Anne of Green Gables is perfect spring vibes.
🌸 Aw, I hope you love Half a Soul! I think it's so super cute. It's kind of casual, not very complex or anything, but just fun and sweet and I loved it! Definitely my fave of 2022.
If you like memoirs, you should read Stay True by Hua Hsu. Came out last year. He’s a writer for the New Yorker. It’s about his life in college in the 90s and the tragic death of his best friend. So moving. So well written. Books by New Yorker writers - chef’s kiss. 🤌🏽
💮 I'm excited to say that I've already read 10 books so far this year. I thought I had the books I wanted to read for the next 2 months set but now I need A Far Wilder Magic.
I don't know what it is, but you look STUNNING in this video ! So glowy !!!!! I need to read city of bones this year since I evidently missed a lot of hype in high school !
Congrats on your new place!!! 🎉🎉🎉Curious? What are your musts for a Spring read? What exactly do you look for in a Spring read, compared to other seasons? Thank you!
🌸 So many great books on your TBR!! In addition to your awesome bookclub picks, I'm also looking forward to doing several buddy reads with Fox friends this spring! 🦊
a psalm for the wild built is SO good! its short so i recommend following up with a prayer for the crown shy (the sequel) but its just so cute and it was lowkey life changing imo
I'm mostly excited to finish series that I have started and been unable to finish for whatever reason, but I am so close to finally finishing them and then I'll be sad when it's over because these books just captured my heart from the first chapter. 🌺
This Poison Heart is such a beautiful series! I loved it very much, especially since it had an unexpected Greek mythology twist that I didn‘t see coming! ❤
🌼 🌸 🌻 🌹 Everything Sad is Untrue sounds interesting.....I've never read a book about an escape from Iran. If it's middle grade, it might not be too heavy or tragic or traumatic, I'm guessing.
Hello Alexandra Roselyn, good morning 🌅! I greet you with pleasure in this new time, hoping you are fine in health! Good video and audio. You look beautiful 💕, as always. Have a great weekend 💐 🤗, wherever you are.
First of all I love your top Lexi. Also, 100 years of Solitude was my first introduction to magical realism and I think I wasn't versed in that type of genre. I still enjoyed the book though! 🦊🦊 I also love the little vloggy sections that I'm assuming we are getting now because you live on your own! Thanks for another magical video!
I read the first Eva Evergreen book last year, and I absolutely adored it. It's definitely a good spring read! This spring I want to finally read "Anne of Green Gables" and the second Eva Evergreen book, as well as "A Far Wilder Magic."
I was so excited to see a new video! Thank you! I have picked up 100 Years of Solitude a few times in the bookstore and set it right back down. It's intimidating to me and I think I'm going to wait and see your thoughts! 🌺
Oh man! I reread Ninth House before reading Hellbent and I don't think it's absolutely necessary but I definitely needed it. Also, The Villa was SO GOOD!! It gave Fleetwood Mac vibes and I loved it! 🌸💐🌹

I loved This Poisoned Heart. A poison garden, Greek mythology, a sapphic coming of age romance, and a mystery made this very enjoyable.

I say reread ninth house in audiobook form. It’s what I just did. ♥️
You're one of the few booktubers who read so many different genres.
I immediately added Simon Sort of Says to my TBR!

Six Crimson Cranes and the sequel The Dragon's Promise is on my spring TBR. The colours are giving me spring vibes with the pinks, blues and purples - they're so beautiful 💙💕💜🌸
🌸 A Far Wilder Magic was my #1 for 2022!!!
The Vampyre is by John William Polidori who was also on that summer trip. It was originally thought to have been Lord Byron’s.
Great spring book picks. Looking forward to six crimson cranes 🌼🦊
