This was one of my favorite stories in the series, it shows that Superman can take care of business even without powers, and adding Lobo was just icing on the cake.
You know what's funny, and I mentioned this on a different post. Superman in the Bruce Timm era is weaker than his Young Justice version, and yet he know how to handle business under a Red sun, and in Young Justice, he got taken out easy under a Red sun during his confrontation with General Zod.
As goofy and young wally is he seems to be the most composed.. wonder woman almost broke the code of the justice and was stopped by flash... superman lost his mind and became a dictator because of flashes death.. flash tried to bring peace between hawk girl and vixen and he was willing to surrender himself when batman would not.. in my opinion flash seem to understand the teams core mission more than anything.
Live wire is the worst Sups: hey you probably shouldn't stand on a metal stage during a storm. Live wire: don't tell me what to do! *Zap* oh this superman s fault!
Hereafter is a great episode with a great ending and redemption for Vandal Savage getting to briefly view a new more prosperous future before fading away content to know he did his part in its creation. It is my number one favourite Justice League episode and one I highly recommend.
Shazam was originally supposed to show up in this episode, but there were rights issues (I think because he was still called Captain Marvel at the time, or maybe there was something else going on) so Lobo was used instead.
@@faizanraza255 What i'm saying is that it's not about leadership. I was looking at it in the terms of being on standby with the extra power that they would need and also fill in the gap. I've seen many times in DC and Marvel when they called certain powerhouses in to play a role and they weren't leadership material. That's what i was looking at. Thanks for the response. 🙂
So I liked this video, not just because it recaps one of my favorite and in my opinion one of, if not the, best JL episodes made, but also because of a bit more trivial reason. 6:21 "To prepare for any more dangers that lie ahead, he uses some flares to fashion an iron bar into a crude but effective sword" That part of the video brought a little smile upon my face. I wrote it (in its original form) myself. Yep. I know where it came from. No, I'm not trying to claim "author's rights" over a little paragraph I wrote in some website, I know better than this. I don't mind it being used here. If anything, I should be the one saying thank you because you thought it was worthy of being used for narratory purposes. I am just trying to point out that it feels nice when someone takes something you said, or created somehow, and gives it a spin for the better or uses it in something else entirely. Even if it's something utterly insignificant or trivial like this. Cheers!
*Ohh i still remember during my childhood i used to watch Superman anime alot. I would wait ever so patiently to watch it's daily episodes, and I'd always make sure to never miss a single one lmao 😅 But one thing which would always scare the shit outta me was this guy Metallo here smh 😢 He was the only one vilain that could easily incapacitate Superman and weaken him real good since he had that green stone, called Kryptonite, which was always on him, mostly inside of his chest, that he'd use to make Superman literally kneel infront of him and have his strength cut down to practically zero smh.. Plus not to mention that he was a cyborg and as the scientist/inventor that he was, he built a power suit armor, with his body entirely made up of the most powerful metal, as well as a "strength serum" that made him a near match for Superman. And Superman being my all time favorite hero at that time in my childhood, i used to be really scared for him whenever he had to fight Metalo cuz outta all em villains, only this one guy, literally one of the best ever supervillain out there who was always real close to defeating Supe. The other ones were like a joke to Supe but Metalo was just built different lol, like literally haha, so all in all, just by seeing him at the start of an episode, it would make me tremble in fear lmfao. And i was like, letme pray rq for Supe today cuz he finna fight this mofo Metalo in this episode, hope Supe gonna find his way to counterattack him and end his very existence if possible once and for all haha..* 😂
I always wondered can one forge using flares. You can! There is a video on UA-cam where they melt metal plates using 2 flares. I wonder if the writers of the show knew it or was it a lucky guess.
If anyone wants to watch these episodes Justice League animated series Episode name hereafter episode has two parts featured as season 2 episode 19 and episode 20
You know what's really weird is ever since Superman disappeared Clark Kent hasn't come into work.... Nah Clark must be sick and just hasn't called us or anything it's fine
WoW now this seems like a cartoon it really feels like a movie but it's only one thing what the name? And I really would like too see this again without the man narrated so again what the name of this cartoon?....
This was unexpectedly one of my favorite storylines in JLU. Clark is Superman with or without his powers.

Plas Clark works really well with that beard. They need to make an alternate series with that!
I miss this kind of cartoons.

True

I liked it too especially a reformed Vandal Savage.
Savage has seen his countless bloodlines come and go like dust in the wind
No one questioned why the Kents were at Superman’s funeral
Cartoons were full of plot holes.
It's was a funeral for the one of the most beloved people in the planet. EVERYONE was there.
Why didn't this Clark guy show up. That's rude of him.
😂
@@copter2000 daily planet should fire him for disrespect
I just realized that at some point if superman is trully lost and in dispair and has no way back he can just say “i need your help mr.myzplks”
So Clark Kent parents came to superman funeral hmmmm
I did not think of that😂
You either die a Villain or live long enough to see yourself become The Hero.
Great comment!

Flash is the conscience of the (original) League. His death is what causes the others to become the Justice Lords in that alternate universe.

Vandal Savage: "Friend, i feel so good."
“Starts wearing the leaders pelt. Vintage thug life move by the Superman”.
Some vintage thug life narration here.
When it comes to character development, these are some of the best.
Batman to Weather Wizard: "maybe you should get a strap for this". Classic batsnark.
The Snark Knight of Gotham did it again.
Its batmans Job To Be Suspicious beyond a reasonable doubt hes a detective The Mystery never truly stopped for him Hes so great like that
I love receiving notifications from this channel❤
Glad you enjoy it!

when I was little I always piled my brother with a bunch of pillows and blankets reigniting the scene with Lobo and the cars from justice league.
Golden memories...
Once a great man said, "The world needs the Justice league, and the justice league needs Superman!"
I like this version of superman, the man.
This episode reminds me of the movies Cast Away, and the Martian.
17:15 I keep forgetting how brutal Lobo are to everything alive.
The preserver looks like a monster from Ben 10.
Hereafter is a great episode with a great ending and redemption for Vandal Savage getting to briefly view a new more prosperous future before fading away content to know he did his part in its creation.

Why didn't Shazam come in to take Superman's place? Whenever they need a replacement or extra muscle, they usually call Shazam.
Shazam's no leader. Superman is their leader.
Shazam was originally supposed to show up in this episode, but there were rights issues (I think because he was still called Captain Marvel at the time, or maybe there was something else going on) so Lobo was used instead.

Imagine if toy man realised he just created time travel
1:52 Crying in the dessert?
Vandal Civilized?
Took him 30,000 Years.
@@SecondLookTM- add the 50,000 or so he lived before that.
Why does superman need a space suit? No one has asked that yet!
They nerfed Superman in the animated series.
Imagine what would happen if he loses his powers in space
You know red radiation
The space suit is just a safety
@@Awestefeld6612no the original superman is even weaker
Damn! Aquaman couldn't even be bothered to put a shirt on?
Wow lex has a guts to show his final goodbye to the man of steel.
& the only villain who came to super-man's funeral😮
This one was interesting 🤔
At the ending he also saved Staro who later controller Superman and plan to take over Earth. Saved by Batman Beyond
Batman = The Justice League
This show was never meant for kids.
Great show though
