The first time I ever made it that far in Winter I already knew about Deerclops because I had seen a lot of guides, but seeing him in person was still a... big experience...
Yeah it's pretty terrifying 😂 I remember when I first saw deerclops, I didn't know anything about it, so seeing it stroll in and destroy my base was a big surprise!
Lucky you, I was playing this game completely blind and only managed to survive to day 30 after dying like 20 times. I was so proud of myself, this was the first time I figured out how to survive winter and then KNOCK KNOCK, this mf came out of nowhere, obliterated my base and I ended up dying of cold and hunger at the same time lmao. I wish I could play this game for the first time again.
i remember the first time my cousin and i embraced winter. we were both playing as Wilson, and we both shaved our beards directly before winter. we had stored a chest filled to the brim on day 19, so we were good on fire. but then day 31 came. baaaaaaad time. we both ran away and watched as he towered over us, and shot his icicles from the earth, destroying our structures, including our fire pit. then we decided to run away, and we couldn't light things on fire cuz we had no things to make a torch. so we died of freezing.
HE DID IT, THE MAD MAN DID IT! but honestly I love this. It is my absolutely favourite song from the whole of DST franchise and i really love the work you've done here. Have an amazing day and know that you're doing awesome, keep up the good work my man.
It was a pleasure to cover this song! I definitely think it's the best boss theme (best theme overall for me goes to hoedown, as you may have guessed!). It so perfectly captures the sheer terror of a player's first encounter with the deerclops, and the way the main melody part takes giant "steps" up and down really emphasises the power of the clops! This sounds more like a final boss theme then anything. Like, if after I killed Deerclops so many times it lost it's shit and used some kind of ancient power to become some kind of ultra-final boss Deerclops and this is what would play. Either way, well done!

This comment comes from terraria, not dont starve. still i want to tell you how i discovered this soundtrack in terraria, the deerclops can spawn in a winter biome at night, with rain. those conditions were met when i needed to pass the biome. long story short, i got the scare of my life and a scary fight. i died.
When fighting deer clops the original song made me scared , but this makes the fight a banger , I literally got confidence , both the original and your cover are amazing and make me feel different things , the original makes me feel slightly hopeless with all odds against me but this song makes me feel like I can actually do it( I am kinda new btw)
i got this in my recommendeds and oddly enough the thumbnail had that line at the bottom that is fully red when you have watched a video already despite the fact i never watched this one before, either way this song is amazing, it sounds like Deerclops's theme if Don't Starve was a old 1980's game
