Finally, the highest claimed score on PAL is not a history viewer recording from an emulator, but a full video with handcam. I was and am extremely proud to truly lay any possible doubts about the WR to rest.
This came at the end of a 3+ hour stream, so it was pretty unexpected. I nearly doubled my previous score pb and got over 67% of the way to my long term goal, the glitched colors at 1320 lines. Even though I haven't quite managed to surpass this run yet, it's incredibly encouraging to know that I can pull this off.

Fun fact: Fractal scored 1 Tetris in this entire run, for a Tetris rate of 0.45%. This is the lowest non-zero Tetris rate in the history of NES Tetris.

Fun little Easter egg: If the sounds for piece rotation/move are dots, and the sound for when a piece drops is a dash, then Fractal’s intro spells “161” in Morse code.

PAL on that very historical day was broken by sir Fractal the Crackedtal. But not too long after... NTSC was broken by sir Cheez the Fish. So now, after you win the CTEC (which you will of course) you will have to harness those same cracked PAL skills into NTSC to chase down Cheez's legendary 2.3 to reign supreme over all of Nestris!
I saw this comment before Cheez's video came out, and I was convinced you were meming. Now Fractal's added another 500k to Cheez's PB. (In the best way,) WHAT IS THIS GAME ANYMORE? :P
Those triples in Level 90 and beyond gave like 27-28k points, holy moly! :)

Also, why are the gameplay sounds at different pitches to other players' games, is that PAL vs NTSC?

Wait I'm confused, I thought Pal tetris was supposed to be faster than Ntsc tetris, but this looks slower to me? I could be blind. Either that or I'm just misunderstanding something
The pal killscreen is slower than the ntsc killscreen but they don't start at the same level
Pal killscreen starts at 19, with pieces dropping at a rate of 50hz
Ntsc killscreen starts at 29 with pieces dropping at 60hz but its 19 speed is 30hz
So pals faster when you compare the 19 speeds of each version
