Hay Paul, never use a cleanup attachment again. Do this.
Load 1000 sheets of scrap 60# paper in the feeder.
Open the ink fountain after removing the ink.
Wipe the blade, and the ink fountain roller.
Be sure ink ductor is set to off.
Take out all the water in the system (if fabric coved water roller-form- remove).
Idle the press two minutes, to dissipate the damp in ink.
(Also you left the plate on the cylinder, very important).
Now get ready to print without water.
With a water spritzer just damp the plates minimally.
Start Printing. As the little bit of water dries up the image on the paper will become
solid ink - but gradually. And after 500 - 700 sheets the press is clean.
I continue running sheets and water spritz the ink rollers. The removes lint.
If I am not going to use the press the next day, I remove all the roller to a rack after a quick hand wiping with a rag.
You will also see that the scrap used for cleaning can be used several times.
When I am running on Friday night, I put the scrap at the bottom of my last feed pile. When I see I have 500, good sheets left to print>
I remove the ink from the wells, open the well, and set the ink rotation on max. this way I waste a lot less ink.
I am just on the brink of going gray. And its a great time to do my cleanup thing. I just the press just fast enough to have time to wiper the ink well blade.
Takes me 5 minutes. and no ink scraper to clean, that is the worst.
Don't forget to preserve the plate if needed.

Nice Job. I used this with success until the Halm Jet showed up. Now we have 3302m and Halm. 10 other printing press sold for scrap and replaced with Injet Printers. Opps ... that was a mistake ... cost of ink ... cost per page ... speed ... jam rate ... electricity usage ... excessive heat production ... technological overhead ... inability to own the machine. Service tied to ink supply - Ink is free service contract costs are excessive. Poor engineering, excessive down time.

      Great writeup!
I have been preaching this to owners and managers for the last 6 years, many are saying "were going all digital soon" I try to tell them how expensive digital is, their response is "it's all included in the price" I respond with yes but wait until you go to upgrade to another digital machine, which typically is within a couple of years, as soon as they know your offset is gone then they do not have to compete with you saying how cheap you can run your press for. I have spoke to many people that have gone all digital and typically within 6 months many are looking for a Ryobi 3302 again.
There are many still floating around on the used marked but they are getting picked up little by little. My advice is if you have any press other than a Ryobi 3302, you should scoop up one because they will be the "last man standing" as far as presses go, you can still purchase today NEW, we have the largest inventory of New & Used parts for all of the Ryobi presses & we are the exclusive supplier for the Astro envelope feeders & AB Dick 1200 envelope feeders.
      Happy Printing.

@@paullippincott I worked on two Ryobi perfectors. I set them up better than factory. I found all the loose gears, and did most of the repair with some help. The hard roller that touches both form rollers on both perfector never contacted on the non-op-side. When I took a chance and set it, the machine became heaven to run. Unfortunately, just when we got these paper plates that are produced on the computer and a print out on a small inkjet, (plates always straight always imposition. Well some idiot ran over the plate inserters with a forklift.
That would have been a dream to run.
So they sold the two machines for $25.00 each at government auction.
I had argued that even for 2000.00 just leave the machine there as an option till we need the room.
      That broke me.
I had gotten picked up HR Administration to create software, because I impressed the Director (two steps from the state treasurer !) Now I have to go back one day a week to get the 3302M in tip top after sitting idle for 6 years.
Why? Because the NCR paper is destroying the high-speed Ink jets and high-speed photocopiers.
You helped me out a couple of years ago with two idler rollers, you were gonna lend me two used rollers until the new resupplied. And I asked to just buy the used ones. Perfect fit. If I didn't do something about the rollers, they would have junked it also. You save a Machine.
When the HR Director heard how the manager were treating the crew, she investigated and fired them. YEA.
The Director then made the remaining workers in charge. Instead of hiring a greenhorn, she gave us all promotions, all of us. I got a double promotion. some got triple.
For me the Ink Jet Printers are like Methamphetamine. They feel really nice at first, but they are expensive and slow.
You are one of my heros.

    Aloha,
My father in-law is a printer out of the big island of Hawaii. He has been printing for over 30 years. He has run into a problem on his press. I am helping him with the internet and tech to see if we can find some answers. He has a ryobi 3300cr, his issue is that the paper feeder table lifting assembly is not moving the feeder up. He has been working on this issue for months and feels if he can’t figure this out he will have to close his business and retire. Living out here we are limited on our resources. If you have any suggestions or may know of any support we can access it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
