The sacrifice on the altar is very well explained, we as Catholic Christians who believe that the Eucharist is the true presence of Jesus Christ in the Body & Blood 🙏. I didn't realize that there were 7 components in the Eucharist prayers, what a great explanation. Remembered & accepted 🙏 Lord my God my Jesus mercy 🙏. What a privilege to receive the Body & Blood of Christ 🙏. Glory & Honor to God Our Father 🙏
Why do you think that rice grain (especially in Asian countries and communities) or other grains have not been added to the "formula" of Our Lord's Host?
Why were the Offertory prayers from the traditional Mass, which offer the Victim in propitiation, deleted and replaced with the table blessing from a Jewish Seder meal in the new rite of mass?
Father isn’t it, Catholic Christian, rather than, “Christian Catholic”? I guess the confusion began with the Church’s schism of 1054, when a new distinction required new words to delineate the broken parts of the Church Christ founded. And at the liturgy of the Eucharist, the words, “Do this...” , tell us what we should do, going forward, and exactly how we should do it, ( without any future dilution, or revision).
Hello Lawrence and may the Peace and Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. I don't believe Fr. Mike was attempting to make any particular distinction when he used that term in the video. We maybe should have caught that in editing :=). I believe the use of the term Catholic Christian became popular because so many Protestants say they are Christian and we are Catholic, so that is a way to let them know we are indeed Christian. That protestant understanding is an unfortunate result of either an inadvertent or overt way for Protestants to distinguish themselves. It breaks my heart when someone tells me that they are not Catholic, they are Christian. Of course, the Catholic Church is the one, Holy and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ. It would therefore be redundant and superfluous to refer to us as Catholic Christians because they are one in the same. It would be like saying Catholic Catholic or Christian Christian. The reality is that we have to do it from time to time, because there are people who in their heart do not think we are Christian. Hope that helps. Blessings - Matt Reeves
We most certainly need the priest ordained by the bishop (a successor of the Apostles) and authorized to make physically present Christ Himself in order to offer Him to the Father in reparation for our sins and to help our petitions to be heard. "Do this in remembrance of me.". Dear Holy Spirit, please bring about the unity of all Christians soon!! 🙏😀⛪
