In 1984, Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath, the son of a fruit vendor, decided to start a standalone ice-cream parlor. He thought ‘If the concept was present in the West, why not in India?’ He chose Juhu as the location to target the celebrities and influential people of Mumbai.
