Getting a ball to the face is called a "falcon" in Aussie rules?? Interesting. As a Mexican who's into cricket and AFL, I'd really love to know more about the slang and the little things an outsider wouldn't know

Not sure where it came from tbh but we say falcon for any ball hitting a players head in sport

When someone is on a tight angle they usually do a kicking technique where you hold the ball sideways and kick it so it’s spinning sideways so that it bends into the goals, we call that a “banana”. For example the commentators might say “he’s on a tight angle here he might go for a banana”
