I actually find it refreshing that he doesn’t feel the need to fluff up his answers at all to fill up space or silence. If the question doesn’t allure him enough to delve in deeper, he doesn’t. And I get the indication he doesn’t like to share much about his process and that it’s sort of a personal thing for him. He’s always said he’s a “selfish actor” which sounds bad but I can see that it works for him! Love Jacob always!!

Can’t believe yall are blaming the interviewer when she did a great job! Jacob was obviously tired, probably sick of doing interviews, and was just over it- gave the poor girl nothing. Great job interviewer!

ITA! The interviewer was very professional and it was SHE who tried to keep the energy going! I felt bad for her but she's a real trooper! Jacob was a disappointment for me, but yes perhaps he was very tired.

Happens with a lot of actors who appear to be full of their own importance. If it were an equally well known actor talking to them they would have a different attitude that's for sure . It is part of their job and they are well paid so be kind .
right, he's been doing press for this movie for a month+. i'm sure it gets tiresome. he was polite even if not overly enthusiastic. the questions aren't bad, just incredibly long-winded and should've been condensed down, especially upon getting this kind of response.
Me either, I can't imagine how many bloody times he's been asked about THOSE scenes in the film, as well as a myriad of other repetitive questions. It's tedious and tiresome and I like that he won't perform and pretend that he hasn't heard them all before.

@@lachrymarum_ Tough sh*t. It is his job. And he is being paid hundreds of thousands to do it for just a month. This interviewer was engaging and positive and asked him many questions about the movie that he's promoting, and by him not responding positively, it is bringing down the weight of his hardcore fans onto her. It's not fair. He needs to get his head out of the clouds. His job is not hard. Seems he was up late before this interview due to his dependence on caffeine and water during this entire interview. I do think he became aware of his arrogance at times and tried to reign it in, but he was still incredibly rude.
Jacob looks ready to GO 😂 His voice is so relaxing though.

He reminds me of every highschool student ive tried teaching, feels like pulling teeth but you do eventually get those teeth out...he seemed reluctant but definitely gave great answers...seems he just wants to move on from the character and movie like he actually said, not the interview necessarily...also think hes modest...it's also a serious, driving (driven?) impersonal interview.

The interviewer is actually asking intelligent questions but Jacob is just not equipped to respond in an articulate way. Love his work, but he's doesn't seem like he is easy to engage.
That was kind of a painful interview. He does not elaborate much. But he obviously an excellent actor and a smart guy. Hopefully, he's a bit more fun than he appears here. On the other hand, the interview questions were not open-ended to encourage elaboration.
Environment also can really play into this, having a one-on-one interview in person feels more like a chat than an over the laptop call.
he's also in a pretty echoey room which can cause subconscious changes to voice and shit

the interviewer needs to learn how to ask open ended questions and how to listen and build on answers.
Exactly she’s asking the most specific questions and you can tell he wants to say “no” or “I didn’t do that” to most of them

This my favorite performance from him saltburn was my first jacob elordi performance. i watched the Kissing Booth movie, but i didn't like them he was good, but this performance was my favorite he became this character i never saw him as this Spoiled boy, i just saw a human being

This interviewer was not up to the job. I feel sorry for an actor having to try and answer such stupid questions.
Promoting a film and doing press junkets is part of the business. If you suck at it, as does Elordi, it will affect your ability to continue being cast in big budget productions.

The interviewer was awful I thought. Her questions felt like an onslaught and her voice really grating. He seemed tired and put off by her but he’s a great actor! I had to turn it off I couldn’t take it.
No same I had to turn it off during the middle of it when he started saying he doesn't really remember, and she kept pushing for what he wrote about Felix in a personal notebook.
Why doesn't he sound Australian? He sounds British.
Maybe because he had to learn a British accent for saltburn and now he can't get out of it
