Keep up the good work, I need more UA-cams about GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks. 👍

Thanks Adam. Great idea for a gallery. Something I'm considering for my photography site. If you're open to suggestions I would like to see more videos on GB & GP, especially the recent changes (your Global Styles vid for example). Anything on GP One as well.

Great tutorial as ever Adam. Please excuse my confusion but why use ACF? Isn't it just as easy to create individual pages with galleries?

I think the bigger concept here is by using a separate post type (gallery), then any new gallery post added automatically gets pulled into the query loop on the Work page. Now there's no need to manually update that page. That's somewhere around @12:20

You can add standard galleries to post, page... and then use Query Loop to create a section e.g. "Latest Galleries" just like "Latest Articles". Here Adam uses ACF to create a CPT and you can use other plugins like CPT UI to achieve the same. His main point is demonstrating Query Loop + CPT. He also creates a Content Template for the CPT, which is excellent.

Thanks Andy! Glad you asked. Going this custom post type route, you're not only able to call to it specifically, like mentioned below, in Query Loops and Dynamic Data, but you also keep the backend of your site more organized. Any chance I can get to separate out my content, I try and do it (as long as it makes sense).
Plus, we created a specific Element Content Template that needed to be applied to ONLY the gallery pages, so it's also easier to select a post type to apply it to, rather than each individual page you would create.
      Hope that helps!

@adamwrightdesign, how did you overlay the site-header-navigation on top of the CPT page hero at 10:00? Thank you!

Create a new Header Element in GeneratePress, and enable Merge Header - this will allow your page content to overlap the nav!
