Originally published in August when Renata first started to understand that Ludwig went missing and was gone for good. Though he officially disappeared on July 14, 2021, Renata did not comprehend this until their ex-partner broke up with them, leaving them completely alone on July 31st.
A few days before this, on July 28th, an old friend of Renata's got in touch with them again, this person's name was Sherman. Sherman was a person Ludwig infamously had a crush on but had gone offline to get better grades in school for a few months.
One cannot imagine how painful it must have been for Ludwig to be left completely without answers for such a long period of time.
Once Sherman was back, they and Renata decided to look for Ludwig, soon enough finding that the boy had vanished completely from social media, deleted his account after at least two people ("Dark Humour" and "Maky" on Discord) made his life difficult by bullying him for being gay and "too emotional".
At the time, it felt like Ludwig had vanished into thin air, and it was especially difficult for Renata to deal with, as they had recently gone through a particularly painful break-up. Though for a month, Sherman kept them company, texting them while they went to amusement parks and apple-picking and even got them to read an interesting book.
Unfortunately, exactly a month later, on August 28th, 2021, Sherman had left, too, deleting any evidence of them existing, including some of their personal Discord channels. This broke Renata's heart, as they had already started to mix up where the line between their platonic feelings for Sherman ended and where romantic ones started.
It's been half a year, and Ren still cannot come to terms with losing three people in one summer. I think they really need a friend right now.

AN UPDATE.
the whereabouts of sherman (person with light brown hair and a bandage on their cheek) are currently unknown too.
we can only assume that they are grieving and have deleted all their social media in solidarity with ludwig.
