The rear doors can open more, just need to squeeze the yellow tab
I was just about to comment the same
Rigo Martinez me too
When you fill it up with gas you can open the gas door then close the drives door to keep heat in the van, non issue.
This mechanism is also a good way to lock the fuel door without a lock. If the driver door is locked the fuel door is too.
tango165 well I didn’t want to try it and break anything 🤣
Yes you can close the door while filling up.
@@BenHardyCars This has been a standard design in both Transit and Sprinter vans for awhile. 🙄
yes you can, I drive a 2016 transit at work and I do it all the time.
I closed this video once you said that the rear doors can't open all the way..
Th ed rear doors can. It's slightly different then the ram promaster Van's but theres a switch on the door to unlock it
It’s smart so you don’t lose control and slam a car next to you. You can swing it all the way open and there’s magnets to keep it open so it doesn’t slam or hit someone
Yes, I stopped watching at the same point.
it has a secure latch to open all the way inside of the doors.
He's not a ford Salesman, obviously he's not going to know every detail of every vehicle he covers
All wheel drive is a good thing
The rear double doors open up much farther than Ben showed us.
1 BIGGUN Are you sure? Because they gave me a ton of resistance at that point
There’s a yellow and red release button that allows for them to swing completely around the side of the van
The rear doors will release and fold into the side. The magnetic bumper stoppers hold them in place.
I work with amazon and we have these Van's. Trust me they do
@@dwayneparham4291 What has been your experience with them? Would you recommend it?
1, the doors keep going if you hit the button
2, you have to open the door to fuel, but you can close the door and still fill the fuel.
The button tuns on/off traction control.
Enjoy the comforts that already exists plus the Opera that will flow🇺🇸
If I had that cargo van given or if I got it my self I would use it to make money by making deliveries and I would be so happy to have it I would also show it off a lot and I will take it on my trips when I have vacation time.... Thank you for showing it ...
I'm looking to get a Chevy Express Cargo van with a 6.6 L L8T naturally expired small-block 400 that has 401 horsepower. With no turbos. With a cast-iron block you could easily put a cup of turbo's on that engine and dual exhaust That thing will fly by anything on the road.. I would not be one bit surprised if it flies by that twin turbo 6 cylinder or two without anything being done to it.
It would be my Expedite Van for cross country service.
I use for expedite!! But I agree with the other comments the doors open all the way ☺️
You can close the door & fill the gas tank, but you just have to open the door to open the gas flap. And the rear doors do open right up & magnet to the side of the van. 💚✌️💚
There's a lot of advantage to having this newer van and wanting exactly one like this, but I am thinking if it makes enough sense cuz I already have a 2015 250 which also hasn't disappointed me.
You don’t have to keep the door open to fill the gas tank. When you open the door to get out and pump gas you also open the gas hatch then close the door and start pumping. That keeps fumes out. Simple.
Spinning tire button is Traction Control disable. Push it like you mean it (one-second hold).
This is among the most uninformed reviews I have encountered. Do your homework first!
Sorry Captain Know-it-All.
If this van was given to me I would turn it into a service van. Thank you for the review. I've not yet made my decision on what van I should get. Still looking at what is the best choice.
He does not know enough about this van to do a good review. He should read the manual.
Ford transit van is my biggessssssst love !!!!!!!!!!!!!!💞💙💚💜
Compared to the Ram vans which suck. The price is worth it just for that transmission.
The rear doors open more
I want to convert one into a house lol
I think thats y 75% of da ppl are here 🤣😂... i own a home but i lived in my car for 2yrs to cut cost to save for a home 8yrs ago..
I love those ecoboost engines.
You wont once the warranty runs out and you have to pay labor on a twin turbo engine , thats why i went with the NA 3.7 liter and i can single turbo that engine with a mustang turbo system and get 465hp reliably.
Agreed! Great engine!!!
If I had it I would convert it to a camper: adding bed, table, seating, etc.
i dont like the plastic door lock, and weird to see this van only has 1 on driver side(maybe its a good thing). other videos showing 2020 transit having 1 door lock on each side
12.2 miles per gallon. This is the "ECO" big boost from Ford. Uau! that is very cool!!! But the door opens and closes nicely!!
The button is to lock the diff in the rear or both I think 🤔
Didn't mention the USB and plug in charger and storage on top of the dash.
Have decided on the Transit over the Sprinter for a conversion. Now trying to decide on AWD or not, 350 vs. 250?? Is there a MPG difference?? Not sure if I want medium length or longer one as you showed in video! I'm retiring from teaching next year (40 yrs.) & having a professional company do my build out exactly as I want it. I will be living in it full time going from town to town every week! Eco-Boost seems neat, but does it take away from MPG?
Do your homework before making an "information" video of a vehicle.
Mobile detailer. Love this van. Would easily buy it if I could afford it.
I would use is as a Expedite fright cargo van
How is the cargo room size compared to the sprinter ?
I am glad to see one test driven.
the doors opens for the comb refill is to avoid stealth it by others in the nights dude
Another great video. Thank you for sharing!
Good review! Thanks.
I would make it a camper van.
Man this guy knows nothing about vans
It actually has a lever to open the back doors more than he said
Id really love to buy one of these vans and go into expedited freight as an owner operator. Sadly I'm to afraid to try because I may end up not liking it and then I'd be stuck paying for a 50k van that is in no way practical as an everyday driver.
I love this one
Might be traction control
Really good info!!! Conversion for full or part-time van life living. With kitchen, office and bathroom. Soon real soon. Needs to accommodate 6'5" tall person.
Should stop watching as soon as you said the doors don't open farther. C'mon man.
Good move....He also said you had to keep the driver door open when you pump gas.....lol
Good move....He also said you had to keep the driver door open when you pump gas.....lol
Don’t think I would scroll threw to mpg, it was reading 12mpg. Wow
What is the GVWR rating for this van? Is it under 10,000 lbs or over ?
The 350 single rear wheel is 9500 lbs GVWR. The dual wheel is above 10k GVWR.
It would be my RV
Convert to sleeper van.
3:53 it's for safety.
How much today
Automatic Door opener?
Here is alternative option for Ford Transit by AdorUSA.com
Compliment greatly to the vehicle use and comfort!
Automatic Electric Power Sliding Door opener for side door.
Works for all Ford Transits, years and versions.
Easy to install even for DIY. Made to last (-50C to +-50C). Affordable! around $1000
Designed for commercial use - 800 openings/closing a day for life time of the car!
You can control speed and distance to door operation. Works from buttons, handle and remote keys.
They are also working on great automatic PowerStep.
Pretty Cool!
The back doors open 180⁰
Sea Panther maybe I didn’t push them hard enough, because they felt locked out
@@BenHardyCars no worries, there are release levers towards the seams of the doors :)
Van conversion for us to a tiny house on wheels. Looks like this van is the winner
Sea Panther
These doors open 270⁰
That`s why it has magnets on the sides
@@franks.hansen6788 good catch. I was thinking 180⁰ from the doors being opened regularly before you have to use the release lever.
I cud do with one of these vans over here in England to make into my new home lol. Good van n vid 😀. North of england
anna massey that would be awesome!
Correct me if I'm wrong here but over in the UK you can get the 130 wheelbase in low, mid-roof, and high-room. Yes?
Sold! I am going to converting one in BC Canada
Love Ford transits
10 speed trans?
No HID bi-xenon headlamps?
what classes of Driver's Licenses needed to drive this cargo van in California? really interested in these cargo vans... Thanks in advance.
Just a class d is fine your standard license
Thx for sharing
Work van all day! I could take all my tools out of my 09 Oddessy!
That button you were looking at is apparently "Traction Control", at least according to Town and Country TV (ua-cam.com/video/vfmHGCBTa8c/v-deo.html)
“A Little Side Door” he says, then proceeds to show us men how to close the doors in the back in order like he’s helping us idiots out. WTF
Can you review the 2020 Diesel version when it’s available ?
Growler 11 If one pops up!
Come on, BEN
4:34
I make a Lego van
Can you put a lift kit on it? 💪🏼😂
People do it lol
Halogens in a 2020 vehicle and not LEDs. Ugh.
Please delete this video and redo....you are completely wrong about the rear doors and pumping gas with the door open.....geeez
Do you really need to say how to use the keys? My dog can open doors without keys
Zombie apocalypse build.
Of course it is quick when completely empty and with no gas! Are you daft?
Even an empty RV feels like a sports car.
we do not need to see the front wheel of the van. We all know what it is and does.
*There is no difference in 2020 vs 2022*
38k max
To all car reviewers: NEVER LAUGH OR TALK DURING ACCELERATION RUNS. we want to hear the engine, not u.
Right but this a work truck. the way the engine sounds is not really what the target audience cares about
Appreciate the review but you really should do your research before making reviews. There is so much wrong information in this video and you come off as misinformed/uninformed.
Good
That is so 2018
can't believe this bullshit got 75k views...
Bruh just put a v8 already
Ford: Well too bad
Still have ugly headlights
You are totally wrong
Horrible, uninformed, unprepared review filled with mistakes, mistatemenes and general ignorance.
$50.000 lfor that piece of sh...... with 3.5 turbo piece of junk with alot of issues on this engines close to 100.000 miles no thanks
Wrong.
They had to ruin the 20 model with that annoying stop/start garbage.
ClassicCorvettes & Musclecars I’ve gotten used to my auto stop start
Can the start stop feature be turned off either permanently or each time you put the key in to start the vehicle?
Promaster is better
Nah
Mike Allen Jr they have no power. They are trash.
Brian Djordjevic I’m looking for a work van. U suggest I go with the pro master?
Mike Allen Jr yeah I drove the ford at my work they don’t have much power. I got the Promaster. The 3.6 has more get up and go than the ford. It also have a lower loading floor for easy entry and loading.
