$100 budget for those of us who are saving our money for more important things like an early retirement, a house, education. You can get a great knife in the $50 range and good pens for $5. The rest goes to a small wallet
Kershaw 1990 Streamlight wedge Right in the rain pocket pen (2 pack ) Im not an edc hobbyist. i just recently realized it was a thing, but these 3 items, along with chapstick, have been with me for years now, i work in the oilfield and use these items every single day, i can appreciate the hobby aspect of edc but some people get carried away imo..
Great subject. I think I would come in low cost and save the money for when I developed more knowledge and experience. Maybe $150-$200. Love the throwing cards, hope they become available!
Elementum, i3t-eos, and a pack of Zebra F-701’s. I wasn’t completely sold on a nice pen when I got into EDC. However, these days I don’t leave the house without a nice one from my collection lol.
If you like the elementum I highly recommend the mini praxis it looks and feels better in hand and looks better and cheaper than the beloved elementum . I have both and had them for a while now . Just a suggestion my guy . Good day bro
I loved the blog style X! I hate that I wasn’t able to make it down there this year. Maybe I’ll get some time off next year. Thanks for the fantastic content sir!
I use a pen every day at work, but it lives on my desk, so I can't count it as EDC (even though I have two pens in my EDC; they almost never get used). I have a small multitool that gets used once or twice a week, typically for its scissors or for its small knife. My most used EDC item, by far, is my flashlight. I'm currently favoring a Sofirn SC21 Pro; but also carry a SP10 Pro with its diffuser in case I need an area light. One of these gets used at least once or twice per day, often more often. I finally ordered a Rovyvon Angel Eyes, which should be here later today. My wallet is a traditional leather billfold; not too bulky (a bifold, not a trifold), but not minimalist.
@@Liimpy I use much of mine, or anticipate I have a significant chance of needing to use it. I will preferentially use a nearby item over my EDC to preserve it, e.g. the pen, dental floss, spare hearing aid batteries, etc.
I agree ☝️ 100 can get you a few cool things . The mini praxis is what I buy people for their first knife . I got my girlfriend the mini praxis as it’s cheaper then the elementum and looks and feels better in my opinion.
It's really hard to suggest something for each person because money is normally the factor but also what they may use it for is a huge factor. They may not have a lot of money but the knife might be part of their new lift style so they may end up spending more on something quality
For a budget edc I feel like 200-300 is the jam get a leatherman squirt , juice or skeletool any sak I suggest super tinker or compact . Fenix light or stream light for 30-50 . Civivi brazen 14c28n and wallet alpaka zip pouch pro and it will carry some of your gear . A Bic lighter always . And that EDM dude is weak doesn't use his gear and 300 dollars for a light c'mon or a first knife don't know how to maintain it or sharpen yeah buy a 300 knife 🤣. Great video . Oh and I feel you on the power pint 💯 tools suck only good thing is the bit driver .
I think most were excessive, $3-400$? For 3-4 items? $150-200 seems more reasonable. Appreciated everyday minimalist admitting he's not really a minimalist lol, always thought his channel name is misleading. Cool video style, gotta get one of your cards.

I'd rather save up a few months at least if that's your budget.
My wallet was 8 bucks.
I say $300 is a decent starting edc budget. I enjoyed watching eveyones opinions

The problem with most edc, it never actually gets used and just turns into a collecting hobby

I still think $100 budget for a beginner is a good target. EDC is a mindset.
