In Lacing, there are three main options, assume you have a point and you want to make a serious of points by using a simple range, and u used for the point X the following (0,1,2,3,4) five values, and for the Y of the point you used (0,1,2) three only, NOW, if you used short Dynamo will create for you only three points following the shortest path or the shortest list which is the Y one, ignoring the remaining 3, and 4 from the X. If you picked the longest, then Dynamo will create 5 points, but only the first three have a combination of both X, and Y in progress manner, like (0,0) and (1,1) then (2,2) THEN he takes the (3,2) and (4,2) complying with the long list but fixing the last Value in Y which is (2). NOW Crossing, will take each one of the X list and match it with one of the Y, and this will create a pure Grid of points, (0,0) , (0,1), (0,2), Then (1,0), (1,1), (1,2) then (2,0), (2,1), (2,2) Then (3,0), (3,1), (3,2) Finally (4,0), (4,1), (4,2) this mean a complete grid
As I know, Dynamo depends on Revit units, I highly suggest you use meters not millimeter as Revit units and Dynamo will depend on it. Dynamo will stop showing you geometries you (gain or control) from Revit in Dynamo viewport as the units in millimeter are bigger as numbers (more digits, I meant, it is just silly as Dynamo unitless and find it hard to deal with bigger mm numbers). @@FirasNoori HI Firas, I came across another doubt. What if you want to change the units to feet and inches in middle of the project. Will there be complications regarding to running the script in Dynamo? Or should we establish before we begin the project in which Units we need to start working on to avoid any future hassles? @@archgyanrevit No idea dear about Inch, I never used imperial system, All I know is you must set the units prior to anything, if you change, you need to test, I never did
hi, do you mean the main plane located on the main x,y reference plane (Ground)? if yes then check the units you used in Revit, coz sometimes you used meter in Revit and then in Dynamo you used millimeters and they are seriously bigger than the grid object provided by default in Dynamo which I guess does not exceed 100mm by 100mm and if you used something with 3000mm like a radius for a circle the grid will be so smaller to be shown in Dynamo (a word of an advice, use in Revit meter not mm and same in Dynamo). IF you have no plane at each circle then you need to create a (Plane.ByOrigin) and copy the plane by the (Translate) node then build the circle and then the polygon on it, which a tech. I did not explain in this video, it is a key tech to create an advance rotation or morph during the Z extrusion. What units does the number slider consider? Does it consider the Project Units or does Dynamo have its own set of Units?
