Cable is a great presenter. I knew it would be a solid presentation when I clicked on it.. It's interesting; after watching a few of these, tech tips may change, photographers motivations may change, their specialty, interests, all that may be different in their niche; however, the repeating message through-out. is do the work, be respectful, treat people well and you will most likely be successful.
Jeff, I think that you are one of the best presenters (if not the best) that B&H offers. I always look forward to your work, both as a photographer and a philosopher .
I so appreciate this video and your time. best of all, your working with & coaching your daughter. My goal like yours, get it right in camera. I typically do NOT do post-processing. I was taught get it right in-camera. I love sports, landscapes & nature and special occasions. Thanks so much for this class; it was so informative.
Question: I have a Nikon 24-120mm 1.4G, and i want to get a Nikon or Tamron 70-200mm lens, Is there that much difference between the two Lens ( 24-120mm / 70 - 200mm ) to justify the price of the 70-200?... I wanted to do some simple sport shooting like on a soccer field. Or should I dump the 234-120 and get the Nikon or Tamron 70-200... Or maybe get a Nikon or Tamron 70-300.... can you please give me some advise.. tks
If you are comparing the older Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens and the Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Nikon lens to the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED, the 70-200mm lenses would be the better options, as they are both sharper, brighter, have less optical distortion, and have better chromatic aberration performance compared to the Nikon 24-120mm lens, with the Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Nikon lens being a slightly better performer compared to the Nikon lens. If you are comparing the newer Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens, while I have not seen a direct comparison between the lenses, the improved optical performance and better edge-to-edge sharpness, along with a stronger VR Vibration Reduction motor in the lens for a 0.5-stop extra stabilization. The sharpness of the new Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens does make it an awesome lens, but for the price and the optical quality, I would still recommend the Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Nikon lens as the best combination of price and value.

you no longer need a website
Why was the camera shaking the whole time...
bad tripod. It looks like it's the footfalls of people walking by.
I contact photographers just to see what their thing is, most don't return my calls, less than 10% talk to me at any point.
Did you contact me? I respond to everyone. :)
