প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় ২০২৩ সালে ও বাংলাদেশের শিয়া মুসলিমরা পবিত্র আশুরা পালন করেন তাজিয়া মিছিল ও অন্যান্য আচার অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে। শিয়া মুসলিমদের সাথে বাংলাদেশে বসবাসরত বিহারি জনগোষ্ঠী ও পবিত্র আশুরা উপলক্ষে বিভিন্ন আচার অনুষ্ঠান পালন করে থাকে। তাজিয়া মিছিল সহ অন্যান্য আচার অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে কারবালার প্রান্তরে নির্মম ভাবে শহীদ হওয়া ইমাম হোসেন এবং পরিবারবর্গকে অত্যন্ত শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করা হয়। হায় হোসেন হায় হোসেন ধ্বনির মাধ্যমে তাজিয়া মিছিলগুলো শোকের মাতম করা হয়।
