As I was part of Pink's direction team, here's some trivia about the title: The film was called 'Eve' first. Eve can be perceived in different ways like for example, eve is a term for girl, eve is the name of the first girl on earth or eve-teasing etc. and audience can pick the meaning they think goes best after watching the film. When the title was changed to 'Pink', the intention of having varied perspectives on the title was maintained. In my opinion, as the film talks about breaking many stereotypes - Pink as a title questions the stereotype of this colour which is often considered as girly.
I once used to thought that "PINK" is only associated with females unless a couple of months ago, I saw a video where it said that the colour "PINK"is acutally a "MASCULINE" colour and females once used to portray at colour _BLUE_ because it was the colour of dainty and _VIRGIN MARY_.
@@rishikapaul4740 Yes, the whole idea is about attraction. It is said that males are attracted to Pink and females are attracted to Blue apparently.
@@ashwindirects True. Navy blue is one of my favourite colour.

Actually there is no stereotypical association of colours with gender. But once study found that girls often attracted to the pink colours more than other colours and boys are mostly attracted towards blue that's why they used pink colours to signify feminine gender, and blue for the masculine gender. But in the reality Geography matters more, for the liking colours for surrounding people of a particular area . People from desert and coastal areas mostly likes dark colours and the peoples are from greenery areas likes moderate colours but the people who belongs to snow fall areas likes light colours more than dark colours. And sunlight also a factor for liking or disliking colours.

Omg Merenla was so funny and awesome loved her💜❤
I loved that how Kusha wore the baby blue dress. In a way she broke the stereotype of color sexism
The colour 'pink' is often associated with being girly. And by being girly means going by the societal definition of what a girl must do and shouldn't do! This movie redefines the colour 'PINK', that a girl can do whatever she likes to do without the validations from others! Stand up against injustice and also fight back💖

Merenla, thanks for giving just a few points from the innumerous actual atrocities northeasterns face from these insensitive mainland Indians. People need to evolve in their mindset and behaviour. CHOLERA was very much an epidemic in India earlier, so will these mainland Indians like it if they are called "CHOLERA"? No, they wont and they won't have the slightest tolerance like the northeasterns. If you cry out about racism yourself in America/Australia etc, please dont practice one in your very own country, otherwise please dont complain about the racism faced by you or your near ones outside your country. We are all equally citizens of India by all rights. Please educate your friends and family to not be a RACIST. It's inhuman!!!
Absolutely true! It's high time we correct these bs stereotypes and blatant racism in our language

Wow !
I've been watching Merenla for so long and always wished for her success .
She is a star. Keep growing girl !
May you achieve your dreams .
Pink is stereotypically a "girl's" colour, so in an attempt to contradict this the movie is titled pink, showing that "pink", i.e girls are strong and bold (which is seen in the font of the title)
No means No......4 years later still a dream far from facade.....

I think the movie is called pink because there is a stereotype that girls only like the pink colour. But there is so much more to us girls, we can like whatever colour and the name "PINK" explains that.
I remember her from Buzzfeed India!
ua-cam.com/video/uZNGdkOwVcY/v-deo.html
Specially with the video of how to pronounce merenla🤣
The movie's name is pink coz pink Floyd made an album 'dark side of the Moon' which means we can't se it which means blindfold. Justice is blind and the movie is about justice.

All jokes aside, most women issues are tagged as "pink" something. For example, I just completed my DBA thesis on The Pink Tax, a naturally accuring phenomenan in our society/economy where women pay more money for a lesser quality product as compared to men.
Genuine question: I thought the pink tax was debunked?
@- king- FEE.org had an interesting article on it and Don't walk, run! Productions got 2 videos covering the topic.
These are just 2 examples among many I found that make great points which are yet to be countered. I'd still like to hear your points on it.
Rent is defintely high
_Yes, I do hear about it on the Internet in every few years._
@@ShadowGodOfDarkness Well, that depends on your perspective I suppose. But if its a big enough problem in an area, it gets funded for further research. It doesn't just have to be with pricing either but how women are shortchanged at every level like in manufacturing, marketing, distribution, sales, etc. A bit like income equality which ppl think is women earning a different salary to men for the same work when it actually refers to cumulative wealth earned by all men and women thus cementing their importance in society.

I love this. I really appreciate the fact that you shifted the spotlight to the incredible movies in bollywood that need to be talked about if not less, more. This is definitely my favourite Behensplaining video.
It is a preconceived idea that "pink" is a girls' colour, which, needless to say, is rubbish. "Pink" symbolises femininity. Reason, nobody knows.
Likewise, it is a preconceived idea that "ladki ki na mein, ladki ki haan hai" which again, needless to say, is rubbish. Certain things symbolise certain things. Reason, nobody knows.
The movie is an attempt to bring about prudence over stereotypes.
Its called pink bcz pink is a soft colour...just like women in the society

I think India should make it mandatory viewing. This should be something every young man and woman should watch before graduating. I am sorry because it may be triggering to many, but so many boys in particular could use a "consent manual" - the entire world over. Time for the government to work on that?
Aishwarya Mohanraj is writer for behensplaining.. Good job Netflix..
The movie is called 'Pink' as a reference to female genital. Which is a bold move by director Aniruddha Chowdhury.

Merenla has a huge personality ! I like her content already.
It's called 'PINK' because we tend to stereotype a fact that girls will only love the colour pink, they will be soft like the colour pink. But what they don't know is pink has more shades. This movie is also about stereotyping women,so I guess that was the theory behind it.
That moment when you realise that many equations(7:23) actually make sense to you, you will feel you have achieved something in life.. Well done neet/JEE aspirants..😂😂
I think the reason it was named Pink was ...... That the society has a preconceived notion that women like the colour pink and don't like asking for their consent................
Pink is really a great film...almost most of the things portrayed happens in the real life...all the actors played their role extremely well!! I love that movie
@ 4:35 I felt so angry at that moment...who tf are you to judge ??!!
AND DON'T FORGET CONSENT IS IMPORTANT!!!
