Reelcrafts downfall imo is the reel lock, everyone of mine is broken and secured with bungees, we switched to cox reels for the spring loaded lock

They break as well. I have more customers with broke Cox reels than Reelcraft, the numbers don't lye…

If you over tighten them you will definitely break the cast housing.
