EJ and Gina bonded over their love of music and formed a close friendship after trying to sabotage Ricky and Nini’s chances of being the leads in the musical. In season 2 they started getting even closer when a guy from another school asked Gina out and EJ had to swoop in and pretend to be her boyfriend, the rest is risotto.
