@@gloknor above the "a" line most states allow it. Check your windshield and you will find an "a" with a line above it. I'm sure a JDM vehicle won't have one, but US cars all do.

no
Short answer is no but there are diesel versions they are super rare to find because in Japan diesel is twice the price of gas.
Can you change the rear dif to have better cruising speed?
Unfortunately no as the differential is not only part of the transmission, but they don’t really Make different gearings as far as I know
