Out on Shadow, I love it. Now, it will be bath time for Shadow due to riding in the rain. I have never ridden in heavy fog. I'm always watching, CM. SHADOW!!! Perfect name.
When I clean the outer visor on my crash helmet , I always remove the pinlock visor . Both get cleaned with mild soap and water at moderate temperature and get thoroughly rinsed off before being allowed to air dry, DO NOT WIPE. To the best of my knowledge, there is no special coating on the pinlock insert but you do need to adjust the eccentric pins to get a tight fit on the inside of outer visor. Before refitting the pinlock visor , I use a microfibre cloth to apply a very small amount of baby shampoo on the inside of the outer visor to facilitate fitting and help to complete an effective seal between the two parts. I have never had any condensation problems with my pinlock here in the UK where we tend to get our fair share of wet and foggy conditions. I think the main thing is to ensure a tight fit between the pinlock and outer visor.
Here's what i do and my cardo connects every time to my Goldwing. Turn on the bike. Turn on the cardo when the blue screen pops up. Wait to hear the bikes radio in my helmet, usually after the gps is fully booted up. Plug up the phone to start carplay. It works every time.
When stopping for gas and snacks I find that if I don’t turn off the Cardo I can turn the bike off and it will reconnect and start CarPlay… mostly. Buy you are right. Putting the bike into acc when you stop for a quick break always works.
was riding from wingding in Nashville tn decided to ride deals gap started back to ny got to the tunnels on interstate 77 at 10 pm fog was so thick you could not see more then 50 ft was riding at 10 to 15 mph did not see any one for 4 hrs till I got to a truck stop that's a freaky feeling longest 40 to 50 miles of life
Hey Cruiseman, the fog is never nice. Here in the north we get out share. Last week we had 18 inches of snow. Today it's fog and rain. No rides on the Goldwing for me. My season ended a month ago. Have fun out there.
I use a pinlock on my visor, but I use Zeiss Anti-fog wipes (found at most Walmarts) for the drop down sun visor and my glasses. The wipes have worked great so far.
My Goldwing’s name is “Beast”, partly because of its BT Moto reflash. My Beast can whoop your Shadow any day of the week! BTW, adding the 8k service to your maintenance videos was outstanding!
@@cwag2159 @cruisemansgarage, I’ll tell you why: I like the ‘wing’s sport touring capabilities. Example: While on a 2 week trip, I was canyon carving through the Angeles National Forest. I paced with 2 guys on sport bikes and I stayed right with them. After a few miles, we pulled over at a scenic turnout and I got high fives from them, and they were blown away by an old guy on a loaded down GW. Guess you don’t see that every day. I am by no means saying the GW is as capable as a sport bike, because it’s not. But I could keep up with those guys on that day. It would have been unthinkable to try that on my old ‘14 Harley Ultra Classic.
Chris- here’s my 2C on your BT connection issues that are similar on the BRP F3. 1. Remove all BT pairings both on the bike and phone plus clear the comm pairings. 2. Power down all three devices for 5 minutes 3 power up headset comm. Power up Honda Pair headset to Honda Pair phone to Honda with an MFI Apple certified cable connect to iPhone. It’s important that the bike be idling during all pairings as it needs to be generating its own RFI while it’s in pairing. DO NOT. Pair phone to headset. When ready for any future rides be certain to power the headset on a second or two before the bike. The headset may try to pair to the phone - do not let it. This prompt should occur only once upon the subsequent startups. Check you BT connections to be certain that the phone hasn’t accidentally paired to the headset. If it has tell the iPhone to forget this device in the BT list. The confusion comes in that people try to have both a bike and a headset connected to the phone. BT even 5.2 can’t handle these third connection or duplicate type connection at the same time. It can handle being connected to the bike and phone but not the bike/phone/headset The MFI cable is crucial for proper CarPlay operation as it can handle the data needed. If it’s just a charge cable nope. The system should bark at you once if the cable isn’t MFI compliant. Hope this helps.
On a different topic. You are the man for goldwings What’s with Honda, no new goldwing on the 50th anniversary? Have you heard anything. I’m at a loss to understand it ?
Why they make the pinlocks when it is possible to have an antifog covered shields? I had a Bell helmet with the antifog shield, yet more expensive helmets need a pinlock, and for some it's even an extra ($50).
I just got my new Ace Pro 2 in (finally) and I have the ACE PRO available if you are still interested. You can email me at info@cruisemansgarage.com and I will shoot you a price and the details.
What’s up Chris. It’s Ed, your Plano neighbor with the grey 2024 Wing. I was riding my road bike (bicycle) that same morning into Frisco. I couldn’t see a thing out there. I’d like to discuss buying that camera from you if you’re really trying to sell it. Let me know.
Worst ride ever in fog, got caught on Blue Ridge Parkway. I literally watched the dots in center my wife watched for mile markers and our exit off on right.
I just ordered the speed bleeders that you recommend, I would like to give you a review as a customer of the company that sells them. If you can send me an email I will send the review to you. You have my email in your system since I own your videos.

He’s washing it while he’s riding.. that’s the point of the fog
@F6B_ADVENTURES Nope, one rain ride equals 4 hours of wash time.
I love night rides myself. And WOW; all those bumps and your voice not moving an inch to it. Very cool.
I love to hear the sound/"pur" of that Goldwing engine!!
I’ve forgotten how good the headlamps are on the Goldwing.
With that weather shadow cant see its shadow.... Great name for the bike..
😂

Hi Chris-Thanks for this update on the pinlock shield. Was not aware either....
You're welcome!
Rain x makes an anti fog that is really good. Baby soap works, so I've been told.
Very good video thanks for sharing

Put the bike into accessories mode when stopping for gas or you will most likely have to unplug the phone if you turn the key off.

GREETINGS FROM THE PPRC GOOD VIDEO TODAY.🇺🇸🏍️
Thank you! 🇺🇸🏍️
Hey, Kamala might be your next Governor, so all will be right.

Yeah, the fog can be pretty bad. Thanks for the good wishes!

Ultra Clean Vid'
Glad to see you on a ride. I enjoyed the video. I must confess what pray tell is a secondary air supply?
Could be why I don't have that problem with my Sena 20S.
IN THE UK IT IS MANDATORY TO HAVE YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON IN THE FOG OR IN RAIN
CatCrap anti fog works pretty well on optic lenses and perhaps it'll work on that screen too??

Fightin' words..
I will have to let Beast go up against Tom Miller's Goldwing that we installed the BT-Moto on. You are right, you would smoke Shadow.
@@cruisemansgarage why is he riding a gw if he's all about going fast?

2025 models to be released in Feb, 2025.

My Sena helmet came with a Pinlock and like an idiot, I damaged it!
Visor fogging sucks. There are anti-fog products out there. You just have to plan ahead.
Perfect video. No music and the sound of you and Shadow were spot on.
You are going to love my Million Dollar Highway ASMR video coming on Friday. 45 minutes of nothing but engine sound.
I would be interested in the camera when you decide to sell please let me know how much let us know how long it takes to wash Shadow lol

So, isn't a white motorcycle the opposite of a shadow?
Cruiseman when are you going to review a 2025?
As soon as I can get my hands on one.
Can Honda update the Bluetooth with firmware update or is it a hardware issue.
I can only assume it is a hardware issue.
