If the Kikuyus do not have a political niche, Ruto will think (with a few Kikuyu leaders) that he is still the major influence in the mt. The Kikuyus should have a bearing that makes Ruto always aware that the Kikuyus are a major factor when it comes to Kenyan politics. If the Kikuyus remain unconcerned about their future fate, then the condescending approach of Gachagua will carry the day.
