Agree with everything you said, thanks for sharing. The only thing I'd add to this list is the hype around Atmos configurations. Suddenly, home studios now have to consider if the investment into this setup is worth it, whether clients will demand this setup in the near future. Audio vendors are obviously banking on it as they are upgrading their DAWs and gear to match this demand. Most home studios struggle with getting a solid stereo setup and now they have to worry about competing with Dolby setups. What should basic home studios do to keep up?

In my opinion, there are just a handfull of Studio Channels that are not bullshitting or try to sell BS to gen x dummies. There is is Benn, Florian, whytse, Hainbach,,,...and there is this ginger Lady Engineer with the yankees cap I always forget her Name. Knowledge: 10/10. Helpfulness 10/10. Ego/0/10. Give the Woman an award. NOW!!!
