As much as I love the collector aspect in horizon, I really hope this has real progression. I want to earn my cars, get attached to them. I want to do a full championship in a shit box and slowly upgrade it
I would love progression. I think they will since it’s one of the biggest complaints of horizon 5. Not only that they are a different studio and their last game completely flopped after a year or two after release, they have reasons to try a bit harder this time rather than just milk money as they won’t make much if it isn’t good unlike titles like halo.
Exactly. Collecting tons of cars in few days of playing takes away their value. Overstimulation of some kind. After some time no car gives any satisfaction. Pozdro666
If what they say is true, that they focus on the build of the car, I hope that in the end if you change one part it will not only be reflected in performance, but also in sound and visually, it is very annoying to see that you change, for example, the entire exhaust system and continue to see the same crappy standard exhaust pipe, in some cars it is understandable, like lambos or porsches that in the begining have really good exhaust systems, but in more common street cars if you adapt it to race it is one of the parts that is most visually noticeable you changed it. And no, not in the Fast and Furious style or a "ricer", in a really tuned car Yes, that change is noticeable, and it is something that in GT7 and even in the crappy NFS games they understand, but Forza still seems not to, same with the suspencion (that still is dificul to see but it will be nice if) and brakes (in this case they change, but all cars ends with the same generic calipers and rotors, it is not realistic in that aspect). And finally, hopefully they finally have updated the modeling of the cars and it is not again a reuse of previous games and hopefully not so many complete body kits that are used in previous games and find more options for aero configurations used in the real racing environment, not the ones used in the streets like in the last Horizon games
A lot of talk about the tech behind the graphics and audio, but I wished we'd get more of a breakdown on the tech behind the driving and how handling, and info and stuff like the pit lane.
Like they talk about the 7 and horizon 5 but when you have some wrong sound on wrong car while they show us some irl sound record... Same for the customization, same ugly wings and fenders than every forza... common guys you can do better but i supposed they don't give a f...
In the first Forza Motorsport on the original Xbox if you hit or scrape the concrete wall, you can actually see the car’s paint color on the concrete wall itself. That was a really cool attention to detail for a racing game in that time. It will be great to see something like that in the newer games.
Согласен,я недавно поиграл в forza horizon 1 и там столько классных фишек оказалось,неплохо было бы увидеть это в forza horizon 5 или в следующей части.
Only thing that bugged me is the fact that we are still using the same Forza aero that we've been using since what Forza Motorsport 5? Other than that everything else looks incredible
They're using the same car models (which doesn't make sense) so they're using the same customisation too (which does make sense), but they claim to have hundreds of new options while still showing old ones (doesn't make sense)
@@Nikko40691 FM1 has different generic forza GT wings and yes it had more than one option, then in FM2 it was reduced to one option in which still looked good because it had good proportions and looked like an actual CF GT wing, it was in FM5 when they changed it to the forza wing we know about today
One thing that I’m still hoping for that not a lot of people for some reason talk about, is the steering wheel being able to turn more than 90 degrees, no Forza game has ever had any sort of steering animation past 90 degrees, Im hoping we might see this possibly in the new Motorsport.
I think the only thing I could be hopeful for is that they bring back Mt Fuji. I miss that track so much and there aren’t any sim racers with good touge style tracks. I used to spend hours upon hours on that course building the uptime downhill and hill climb cars.
Yea idk looks the exact same as sim games two decades ago but just with more pixels in texture files and a bit more effort into 3d models.... I bet roadside emergency vehicles will be the same low quality lunchboxes as they have been always
@@gp8666 But graphical differences are basically the only things “Sims” can change. I hope you’re not expecting a “Hot Wheels” DLC for this game like FH5 had.
Car racing is an exciting and thrilling sport that tests the skill and speed of drivers. It's a highly competitive and high-speed pursuit that attracts millions of fans worldwide. Watching this has made love car racing and secondly it fun to watch.
I want to see details used in other franchises in the past. If I change the exhaust, it has a different exhaust. If I do weight reduction, it removes interior. Also, bring back Toyota and Japanese tracks like Tsukuba, Fuji, and Motegi. I also want to see more street cars. It's more fun to build up a street car for the track.
I believe the graphics and sounds will be really good, like other forza games as usual. But I wonder why the dev never do a marketing scene where they talks about tyre physics, penalty system, pit stop, etc.. you know, something’s important in a ‘motorsport’ world..
They did in the last one I think and they talked about track temps. It’s gonna have a whole tire physics update too with like 48 simulation points per tire vs the old 8 or 6, and there are now like hard or soft versions of tires
@@onkelandre4307 Exactly. They talked about that stuff as much as they did in this vid. Come to think of it they talked about it more in this vid. AWD glitch anyone?
I don't get what happened. This was so promising and it seems like we just got a copy of Forza 7 with missing features. It's almost as if, after the game was developed, they realized it wasn't going to run on an Xbox, so they changed plans last minute.
My biggest concern about this trailer is that you guys spent more time talking about how realistic your paint is, than talking about any gameplay-relevant aspects such as game modes or how the progression is gonna work. Those things are all pretty cool, especially the new sounds which are a long overdue thing imo, but literally all I know about this game right now, is that it's pretty to look at. I'm fairly sure players will be more busy thinking about how well your cars drive, how fun it is to progress in your career, get new cars, upgrade them, etc, rather than closely inspecting your multi layered car paint.
Exactly my thoughts, no mention of tire model or race relevant physics, matchmaking or ranking improvements... Or maybe a penalty system? These are the things that drove the real multiplayer enthusiasts away from 7. If I didn't know better, I'd think this is another horizon installment with the way they are selling it.
From a GT/DiRT/AC player, this looks good, my one concern is that they spent a lot of time talking about how good the paint looks, not about the core features i.e. progression, car handling etc.
Have you ever played 7? There’s honestly not a great deal they can improve from the sim aspects of things from 7 to the new one. It seems like a graphic/audio upgrade of 7. (Which can only be good)
The looks and sounds of this game i have no doubt in but the by far most important thing in my opinion is the car physics and the feedback you get through your wheel. Hope you put in even more time into these things than the graphics
Not looking good for us physics purists imo. They mention ray tracing a dozen times and physics maybe twice. I'm willing to bet money that assetto corsa and competizione will beat it in the physics department.
The thing I hope for is the ripping and sacking of content to be brought into Assetto. GT7 stepped towards simracing, I doubt Turn10 will ever get the balls to do that.
i hope the game feels good on wheel and pedal setups with a really good online competitive mode. its something that horizon lacks, motorsport has the perfect opportunity to make that happen. then Forza will have both competitive and casual racing games with loyal fanbases
If you want competitive racing, i recommend acc or iracing. Forza has always been a casual fun type of game, and i'm pretty sure it will stay that way.
@@hasdachatlogs not for the average forza player. I stopped playing forza long ago as it’s copy paste with arcade physics. Forza is a child’s game and they should stay in that lane. The last forza was full of virtue signaling and 600 foot jumps lol
@@apolloxv8820 wait...wut? Are you talking about Horizon? Haha I mean ive only played FM a loooong time ago at a demo kiosk in Bestbuy but there's no way they have crazy jumps and stuff, thats definitely Horizon, right?
2 things: 1. I really hope they put as much work into every other track that will be in this game as they did into this Kyalami track, because if not that will be disappointing for everyone. 2. Really concerned about the fact that they did not talk at all about the car physics except for tyre wear, because if they don't get that right, so many people are going to tear this game apart for going for looks over gameplay, something no racing game should do.
id bet money the physics are no better than fm4. the real test will be using a ffb wheel. fm6 was the first time i used a wheel on forza and it was so disappointing. if this gets outdone by pcars then thatll be a big L, because thats not a high bar.
I really hope Turn10 finally does the driving physics right. Since FM5 it was downwards spiral, especially with FFB wheels. Let's hope for the best when it finally releases for the next gen consoles in a century.
They compeltely redesigned the braking and suspension physics in FH5 so there is definitely a change coming. Before that, all the way from Motorsport 6 to the FH4, these feeled almost the same.
@@benjibenji2333 Going back and forth between FM7 and FH5, there is a significant change in the feel. Even when FH5 initially came out, to how it stands today has been a great improvement.
They can't say anything about the customisation because everything's just lifted from Horizon. There's probably a handful of racing customisations and that's all you get. They couldn't even bother replacing the forza aero, there's nothing of note if that's the level of effort
@@stampiboy1 that basic looking spoiler on the miata - it’s been in every forza game, it’s available on almost every single car and it looks absolutely horrendous
@@VinnyUnion Well they also referenced the physics model being more detailed than F5, 6 and 7 combined, dynamic weather, track evolution, dynamic time of day. In previous discussions about the game they have mentioned a new highly detailed tyre model for example. Yes there's still a lot they haven't talked about but I can't say I'm not optimistic with what they've talked about and showed us so far. I'm not just a visuals focussed person, if I was I wouldn't have a dedicated sim rig and high spec pc in my log cabin.
"Built from the grooouund uppp" "Forza Motorsport is the most technically advanced racing game, ever made" ... you have to be ashamed by this kind of presentations, false marketing and the horrible launch state. why some rendering features are disabled such as RTGI? and where is the audio options for dolby atmos for instance? there is literally no audio quality and spatial audio options for now. Lack of global illumination & reflections even with RT on, all the cut track assets, due to the low quality materials and shaders: strange looking low detailed cars, unacceptable amount of bugs... such a disappointment and unexpected result by a game studio with over a decade of experience.
Would be cool if you could have the option to save the car as is after a race and be able to view it in a showroom, podium area, or on the track, giving you the ability to recall the tale of a race. Just a thought 🤔
this is a simcade if not just an arcade game its made for the casual gamer.. even if there's hardcore sim racers out there. they would alienate a lot of the player base i feel like if they focus so hard on physics. Yes physics is important but their target audience is the general public who like cars, racing, and people who may be new to it. I think setting your expectations for the physics will make you really disappointed when the game gets released
Is there any modern game that does this? I remember Need for Speed 4 High Stakes used to have this. Your car would accumulate damage during the race (possibly becoming un-raceable) then you would need to spend in-game cash/credits to repair the engine, body, suspension, etc. You could even race a partially damaged car again if you wanted!
I REALLY hope this hits the right spot, with a solid multiplayer experience and above average controls for wheel & pedal combo's. Not expecting a sim-cade to feel like ACC or iRacing, but expect it to feel at least 80% the way there. Really looking forward to it. Hope it supports the large amount of wheel and pedal options available these days.
Only a few games is advanced enough to make it feel like driving a real car. Forza has never been close to that and i don't think it will happen this time either.
It's not what matters though. As always they spent most of the time talking about graphics and not gameplay. Also showing crashes and old forza wing in the first minute says a lot. Not a word about clean competitive racing, balance, pit stops etc
@@oleh_1337 Agreed. Maybe we will find out more tomorrow in the Forza Monthly stream. I am not a fan of the hype trailer things, where everything is about visual fidelity. Visuals only get you so far. I want them to hit on the online game mode mentioned in the trailer, and the single player career. What other features will there be? Time Trials? Can I set up custom servers and race with / against my friends? Thats the stuff that matters.
Bro their fucking upgrade system has been the same since the very first Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox.... Like holy shit guys can you make it just a LITTLE bit more indepth?
Yeah I wouldn't hold your breath, I would be extremely surprised if it's anywhere close to ACC, the original AC or rf2. Quite frankly this entire video felt like a marketing stunt with buzzwords and details to hype up the release, but who knows, maybe it will be that good.
A little odd that there was almost no detail about the physics. The we tracks and 'rubbering in' are a good sign, but it would be cool if it has more advanced tire deformation sim and stuff like that.
They simply can't go the sim way. Too nische. They want to sell millions, so they need to focus on arcade with some sim components. Forget about tyre physics and so on. For what? if most of the people will play it with a controller? If you want a sim with very nice graphics get Automobilista2
@@JP-xd6fm A huge complaint about Forza is how far it went from being a car sim. Gran Torismo on PlayStation is a perfect example of a good sim and Xbox no longer has a 1st party game that competes with it… They updated every system except the ones fans complained about.
@@atl3652002 well said, you would think that the Horizon series would satisfy the graphics, and arcade type of play. It seems odd that they are approaching the Motorsport series as if it were Horizon. Like you mentioned, Motorsport used to lean more towards the Sim side of things… I guess that’s gone for Xbox users.
I want this to feel as good as the first Motorsport games felt! I want to grind in a game like this. As much as I love the Horizon series, I hate being able to own 10 supercars within my first 2 hours of gameplay! I want to be grinding away in a D class car, slowly upgrading it and working to get that faster car that I'll need for the next championship! I'm glad to hear about the focused single player experience, and I hope it lives up to it! Can't wait!
It should be hard to get high end cars early on, and virtually trivial to get them in the end game. Earlier games had it perfect where continuing to level up gave you more and more money or better cars each time, and maxing out your brand level got you unlimited free parts with that brand. It gave the feeling of gaining fame and manufacturer support
@@VancouverCanucksRock Oh come on, I just know you've only played it at launch and scrapped it afterwards. It's easy to get cars now. Also, you can say the same with this trailer. You like being manipulated by visuals.
Just hope proper car enthusiasts are in the team behind this, you can replicate that authenticity and it won’t come across well if you don’t have proper knowledgable driving and racing enthusiasts building these games.
what's impressive I don't understand. If I work 6 years on graphics ofc it's gonna be impressive. tf is this they show 98% graphics and 2% cars and all are the same they copy pasted all of it
@@spicycheeseburger420 "...they copy pasted all of it." Do people like you ever get tired of using the same, ridiculous argument? It's like you use the same two words to describe practically everything Turn 10 and Playground games have released in recent memory. Is there a new piece of content they have come out with that isn't "copy pasted?" I'd be interested to know what you think it is. Surely there's at least one.
@@spicycheeseburger420they didn’t copy and paste nothing. Trust me when I say the game will be the best FM to date. If T10 was really out to fuck over us, we would of just got a release date for March and had a half baked FM7 situation. Since they’re pushing it back, tells me they’re actually listening to the fans.
I used to really enjoy working through getting race licences way back in early Gran Turismo games, that grind really made you feel like you had put in some work and that you had earned the cars and tracks on offer. This model is dearly missed in Xbox titles and was so fun.
It was sad to leave the old Gran Turismo behind. Fond memories of licences, being careful with credits, modifying cheap second hand cars until you get that brand new GTR, and the courses, particularly Deep Forest, Seattle and Midfield Raceway. I don't feel I'm missing out with not having GT7 though. It's not the game it once was, for me anyway and Forza does a great job. Love the Horizon games too.
Been with GT since the beginning, GT7 has the best of all the GT games, and so much more. The only downside is microtransactions, which don't affect me, I'd never use them anyway. GT in Vr taught me racing on a TV is so wrong. So unless xblock gets a VR headset and full support the game is never going to compete with GT. The VR in GTSport was very limited, but showed the obvious advantage. Looking into corners, our out your side window while drifting, the feeling of driving that a TV can NEVER produce. Can't wait for PSVR2!!
Honestly what I’m hoping for most is improved divisions, nothing rips you out of the immersion like seeing cars from different seasons on the track at once
@@estefano9e even better a McLaren of some kind converted to 4 wheel drive on off road tyres vs a Land Rover defender, I love the creativity in FH but I want a bit more realism in FM 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@FuzzyQuils sure it's "fun". But a good portion of us appreciate the unique driving characteristics different cars have and the fact that they all can't compete evenly (the way horizon portrays driving). That's the beauty of the original Forza Motorsport series. Similar cars competing in realistic classes based on their characteristics and limitations.
I was really hoping to see more in-depth, but if they are not rushing it then that's something I admire, if it means a much better game then I'm down for it. I just really hope that Forza Motorsport really lives up to the anticipation, aside from the amazing graphics and what they have shown, what matters is the actual gameplay, lets just hope that this time we have more attention to detail, greater improvements on the physics, car sounds, speed-sense, progression, and also I'm hoping to have more new to FM features such as blinkers, a visible pit-crew this time around, more steering angle...I really look forward to hear more...really hope this game is as great as Forza Motorsport 4 if not greater :D
As good as the improvements sound, handling and graphics were not the issues with FM7. It was the lack of competitive multiplayer, race strategies and penalty systems which none of have been addressed so far.
I’m glad somebody else appreciates FM7 physics, I can see how they’re outdated now but even when it first came out people said it was crap and GT7 was better. I buy a PS4 after playing the last of us at a friends house, i finish the last of us and give GT sport a try, the cars stuck to the road like glue, doesn’t move around naturally, no oversteer, no brake locking, feels really bad physics wise, I really don’t get the hate for FM7 physics, for the time it was released in 2017, the physics are amazing and hard to control, which I like.
This. Very worrying that 6 minutes are taken to describe the paint, crashing physics, and fucking tree realism, and only 15 seconds at the end about a reworked online system
Ultimately a shame as an exclusive Xbox player to see how much better Gran Turismo is for actual racing fans. Forza is just a graphical flagship to showcase the newest Xbox tech sadly. Hope I’m wrong! 🤷🏼♂️

Yes! Can’t wait to play your new game as a long time fan. Please don’t be shy on the mods for the cars and please please please, have the pit stops during endurance races actually have a working pit crew. Not just stop in the box and tyre screech away. Keep up the good work, looks great so far.
You mean like how FM6 showed pit crews but then the game had nothing like that? Yeah I'll wait until I see the final product actually being played before I make my purchase. I love the series, been playing since the first one. But I'm hesitant to buy new products until I see the actual final product. Too many times of trickery and deceptive marketing that make the game look fantastic but aren't actually in the game.

I don't get what happened. This was so promising and it seems like we just got a copy of Forza 7 with missing features. It's almost as if, after the game was developed, they realized it wasn't going to run on an Xbox, so they changed plans last minute.
Exactly what I think, they probably really made it playable, but when they tried to put it on the Xbox Series they realized what a mistake they made
Or just like how Ubisoft did it, it's just a really good looking vertical slice of a game they made just for the trailer.

And on top of that, the same lame ass forza aero wing on the Miata!!!!!😢

@@ashdog236 because games like assetto corsa exist

You mean like how FM6 showed pit crews but then the game had nothing like that? Yeah I'll wait until I see the final product actually being played before I make my purchase. I love the series, been playing since the first one. But I'm hesitant to buy new products until I see the actual final product. Too many times of trickery and deceptive marketing that make the game look fantastic but aren't actually in the game.

@@TacticalLoser My point exactly. Nothing interesting.
@@basshead. My intent wasn’t to say it wasn’t interesting, My point was, The loved Motorsport series is what it is, and every sequel is just a new version of the past version, So Motorsport 8 seems to just be a better looking, better sounding, better feeling Motorsport 7 with more cars and contimazation and maps, EXACTLY what a Motorsport sequel should be, so it should be equally as exiting as people were for 7 when the trailer for that came out, Saying it looks like the past games as a way to make it look bad is just stupid, I’m very exited for this game, and for whatever it’s worth, I’m a lot more exited for this than I am Starfield based on the extremely janky gameplay we’ve seen, and yes it’s important to note it was an early build, but it’s also worth noting the movement and aiming seemed real shitty, and that’s not something that gets changed on release, not to mention ALL Bethesda games as good as some are, have the most garbage movement and aiming and looking around feel, that any game could have
@@TacticalLoser It will be recycled crap like FH5.
Beautiful! Will the physics favour Wheels though? Because that's what we all want.
It'll have wheel support, but as always you'll be penalized for using it as the console controller users get priority EVERY time, and they won't ever give you an option for an online lobby with "Wheel only" settings.
I've only played 6 but I hope there is an actual championship creation system where you can make a callender, choose the amount of cars, and the amount of points for position.
Yes. And I hope that they use real classes for their cars. Instead of just calling all gte, gt3 and gt4 cars just gt and prototypes like Forza p1 or whatever it was.
