Most of the staff we see get fired and the menu is partially changed back. Restaurant sues the production team for missing items (settled out of court). Name is changed in 2014, and closed in 2016 because it was "The right time to sell." Nothing to do with all the 1 star reviews I'm sure. It was sold on the piping hot market for 144 000, right time to sell indeed.
The amount of work Chef Ramsay personally put into helping complete strangers is truly exemplary. And yet, I have just discovered with a quick internet search, Joe actually sued Gordon Ramsay's production company after this episode. How's that for gratitude? Can't help them all, it seems.
I just wanted to appreciate Gordon have Chef Bryan cooking in as the head chef. It's seriously SUPER refreshing to hear them shouting out the orders and communicating. And the fact that he'll interview chefs to take his place really shows how much Gordon actually cares for the restaurant in the long run.
The fact that Joe doesn’t care is just - And... WHO THE HELL PUTS RAW ONIONS IN A ONION SOUP!??????!?!!!!?? The fact that he doesn’t get it just makes me wonder how he actually had the money to buy a Restaurant
Well, to some extent, your questioning is understandable, but maybe Joe does financially ok with his animal farm, for given the animals that he has, I imagine that he also sells to other restaurants and/or maybe to or through butcher shops. I don't have a clue how much income that can provide to the farmer of the animals used for their meat. F.e., whether the farmer sells to or through butcher shops, these also need to make $$ from providing this service, and it would be the same when selling to or through grocery stores. Of course these businesses must earn revenues from EVERYTHING they sell. Even when they have sales that provide good savings for customers, it is often to just draw in customers to begin with, for many will buy other produce, as well. It isn't always that way, for when I go for food products at marked-down prices, it often is only for this and nothing else ; but, many consumers will also pick up other items that aren't at marked-down prices and which might be higher than what some, if not many, consumers would expect for full-priced produce. It's part of marketing, needing to draw in customers. So, the farmer will get his or her share of the total revenues and, unless selling directly to consumers, must accept that the businesses he or she works through must also earn income. So, Joe will surely make fair revenues from selling the meat of his animals and maybe it is enough to be able to pay to have a restaurant. With Part 1 of these videos about this bistro we got to see some of the animals being raised on the farm, but I didn't learn how many of these that Joe has. If he has enough, then he might well be getting good revenues from this, alone, and I guess that if he needed loans to be able to have the restaurant, then it wouldn't be difficult to get, given that his farm could and I guess likely would be treated as collateral. I don't know if Joe needed loans to be able to start this bistro, but either way, he is at risk of losing more than only the bistro, or so I guess anyway. Spoiled brat, egotistical, stubborn, idiot.
He did say he worked as a salesman for years, so he probably saved up, then started up the farm, and once it was getting money in, he decided to try himself at a restaurant. Maybe he thought he's getting too little cash selling his produce, so he wanted to milk it in his own business. Last I heard he's driving a food truck around. Still sells elk, still badmouths Gordon, lol. At least someone commented that they met him at a fair below another copy of this video on youtube.
He knew he was going to go back on every word he said to Gordon Ramsay when he said “We don’t have a crystal ball. Who knows what the future holds at the Millstreet Bistro.”
I wonder how many of those servers were fired afterwards. Gordon always does this, says to the staff that they can trust him and then the owners are listening in. That‘s not really trustworthy
Yeah its BS, even if he promised a job elsewhere (I doubt he'd do that) they have to live in a certain town and he just wrecks it. Reality TV. They don't really care about people.
@@30noir Gordon has actually help plenty of people and he does care. He's also hired a few from certain restaurants. Yes it's reality tv but he's better than most.
Sadly Gordon let the staff hang out to dry by getting them to comment on Joe when he was listening in. Tbh given the state of the restaurant it probably wasn't a bad thing that they ended up leaving.

4:04 it’s amazing how Joe sounds like a computer fighting against his own programming as he tries to take what Gordon says with even the slightest bit of humility.
This dude genuinely just wanted Chef to come in, tell him how great he is, and cook his food for him 🤣🤣🤣
Only Gordon can kick the food out of its own restaurant
Most of the staff we see get fired and the menu is partially changed back. Restaurant sues the production team for missing items (settled out of court). Name is changed in 2014, and closed in 2016 because it was "The right time to sell." Nothing to do with all the 1 star reviews I'm sure. It was sold on the piping hot market for 144 000, right time to sell indeed.
Wait what? Really?
Is that a good or bad price
@@rhysnavato3970 Comparable restaurant spaces are now selling closer to a million, so it's a bad price
@@rhysnavato3970 I bought a restaurant maybe a quarter that size, in the middle of nowhere, for $135k in 2020
The amount of work Chef Ramsay personally put into helping complete strangers is truly exemplary. And yet, I have just discovered with a quick internet search, Joe actually sued Gordon Ramsay's production company after this episode. How's that for gratitude? Can't help them all, it seems.
this man is so butt hurt lol i get a good laugh every time i watch this episode. him sitting outside and calling Ramsay a narcissist is so funny.
Narcissists love to project. It's one of their "things".
‘You cook my burgers’…….best compliment that chef will have ever had!!!
The fact that Joe doesn’t care is just -
And...
It's on loans. Most businesses are taken on loans and fail too.
that question is the real one:who the hell gives fucknuggets like that the money?
He did say he worked as a salesman for years, so he probably saved up, then started up the farm, and once it was getting money in, he decided to try himself at a restaurant. Maybe he thought he's getting too little cash selling his produce, so he wanted to milk it in his own business. Last I heard he's driving a food truck around. Still sells elk, still badmouths Gordon, lol. At least someone commented that they met him at a fair below another copy of this video on youtube.

Can I just say, Joe turns into a robot when he says something nice
Watching the uncensored version of this series just takes it to a whole new other level.
He knew he was going to go back on every word he said to Gordon Ramsay when he said “We don’t have a crystal ball. Who knows what the future holds at the Millstreet Bistro.”
People with narcissist personality disorder are incapable of changing. Poor Gordon, I felt his pain.
“You shouldn’t be scared of Joe, because I’ve got your back”

I wonder how many of those servers were fired afterwards. Gordon always does this, says to the staff that they can trust him and then the owners are listening in. That‘s not really trustworthy
@@cakemason6411 they all got fired including the chef tommy
Yeah its BS, even if he promised a job elsewhere (I doubt he'd do that) they have to live in a certain town and he just wrecks it. Reality TV. They don't really care about people.

Gordon: "Get out!"
Joe: "He didn't kick me out. I walked out."
Sadly Gordon let the staff hang out to dry by getting them to comment on Joe when he was listening in. Tbh given the state of the restaurant it probably wasn't a bad thing that they ended up leaving.
Joe was an A-Hole He didn’t deserve the staff they were too good for him
He said that he got their back, i read it somewhere that they got good jobs becauae really they are a good restaurant workers
Can't blame Gordon for that, the guy wasn't deserving of those workers anyways
Yeah, Gordon fixes this later. He changes this aspect and has them put anonymous comments in a hat and reads them to the owners.
I feel like the real point of narcissism for me is when Joe claims that Chef Ramsay's point was "well taken" rather than "well made". He's complimenting himself for taking that (one) piece of criticism instead of Chef Ramsay for demonstrating his point well.
I’m not sure I’d give Joe that much credit. It would require some decent mastery of the English language to make a quip that subtle on purpose.
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 To be honest, I don't think it was done on purpose. I think it was just a little slip of the tongue that reveals the way he sees things. In behaviour analysis, they say to pay attention to how people phrase things because whether they mean to or not, it reveals a lot about them as people. For example, if someone burns themselves on a cooking pot, and another asks if the food's okay before the person's okay, then it reveals what their priorities are, for instance.
When Gordon said "You need surgery" had me laughing so hard. 🤣🤣🤣

I like how the cameraman is just recording the whole argument in that kitchen.
they got automatic cameras as well, you can see them in the corners of some shots, the grey security cam looking things - that's how they get a lot of the shots inside the cramped kitchen without an actual camera guy getting in the way too much
