- It's been a while since our last cooking episode and we're glad to be back right in it. Malo le onosai. Today's menu is our usual umu then our dishes cooked were lamb with eggplant (falai isalaelu), lamb neck soup (supo ua mamoe), luau ulo (taro leaves in coconut cream) and chicken curry with carrots.

Hahahaha..to be honest that is really one of my favourites and I will definitely do an episode on that. Fresh ulu kao, miti and elegi with kukama...best feeling in the word!!..thats true samoan comfort food. Love it

Bro as soon as I saw your comment I did another curry the next day and added coconut cream and it was next level. So rich and creamy, and spicy..not gonna lie, it was really addictive
@@SamoanFarmer for my family of 4, I make it like I'm making it for 10 people just so we can have leftovers. I've used this with chicken, lamb neck bone, lamb flanks and Ox tails. 🤙🙏
Man I wouldn't mind ox tails to be honest....we don't have that here but I've seen a few cooking videos and they look super good for stews and soups

Kia ora cuzzzy 😂 to be honest i never knew that lemon trick. Yeah because the eggplant does brown quite quickly which is why I keep it in water but it still browns...so definitely gonna try that. Always good seeing your comments. Have a great week❤❤❤
