Trying to design one in a survival world. Can you tell me how to set up the sorters and all? the only thing it needs to do is pull ice from one base and deliver it to another. Flight, recharge and docking are all done, but this needs some work :p Also, nearly 1k subs! Ill add mine to help you get there :)
Thanks heaps for all the support... this BP is available to download on the Workshop or Mod.io as it may be easier to explain if u look for yourself...? But to sum it up, on any Cargo container there are multiple ports (small ports for ores and large for component's), use 2 in total (more if needed) but have 1 port "drain all" 'white listed' ores/items you have selected in the sorter to drain into 1 port on the drone and have a seperate sorter to drain it out of the drone Even use the large Cargo containers port at the bottom and have a large sorter on the bottom before the connector like my Cargo Drone ✌️ Hope this helps and hope to hear back how you go... I know this is several month's old so I know you may not even see this but I am wondering if you had any more plans to upload your printer? I have started watching your videos and am learning a lot but would love to have that printer so I can create drones and other small grid things!
I would love to upload it with more requests but it is my most complex design and is a huge file including its Drones and BP's in its respective projectors, plus its Missile storages Rotor sometimes misaligns to connect to the next which I will revise very soon to make sure it's 100% (maybe do a live stream and update it or tweak it before i release it 🤔) Thanks heaps for the comment and remember I have several tutorials on how you can build your own simple Drone Printer exactly like mine (im a hands on learner and work better when im doing the task 🤔)
@@ShArPy1o1Games I can completely understand on uploading it. I was looking in your tutorials for the videos but finally found it in your playthrough video. Now to figure out all of the programming portions of it! That is the part I am struggling with learning in SE although I am finally getting a grasp on it. Thanks for putting out the videos!
No probs... just note that 'reversing' the pistons will change its speed exactly each way BUT if you add 2 buttons, 1 to increase the pistons Velocity and the other to decrease as the piston changes its value per button press it allows a slower speed 1 way and a faster 'reset' speed (hope this makes sense 🤔😇)
Did you use the Cargo Drone itself to place the gps over the connector? Might be good to have 2 gps's, 1 15m above the connector and another to actually dock... could be the Drone is triggering it's "unload timer" too far away from the connector to connect/dock
@@ShArPy1o1Games Yes I used the drone to set the GPS points. I have an "approach point" (that also slows down the drone from 15m/s to 5m/S) before the "dock point" but it slams down ... will try to add an extra point before the dock point. The remote control has the command to go to the "Dig Lock" point and turn off the autopilot and then start the "Ice Load Timer" in 3 seconds that will lock the connnection and allow the drone to suck the ice. At the same time it has a timer 3 minutes later to unload and continue the path to the base. Will try that solution thanks.
Perhaps your Cargo Drone is a little too heavy when it returns to dock, maybe place the Docking gps just above where it would normally would be when placed using the drone while connected? I do talk about this at the very end of the tutorial ✌️ Hope this helps and is what your talking about
This is nice but I can’t seem to make it land at the mine. It drops down to the gps (which is one small block above the connector) and then just flies up for about a second. Then it just hovers there until the recharge timer triggers again. I have the recharge timer on load and unload timers, but removing it doesn’t seem to affect this action. Any ideas? Minus the additional recharge timer, I followed this video for set up.
Try restarting your SE game 1st as I've found there is a bug when reloading (Shift+F5) constantly that effects remote blocks and GPS's etc... Also maybe remove all gps in its Drone remote block (double check that no timers have started or anyrhing incorrect after removing and re-add and retry (ive also found that "Reset Waypoint" on its first gps may help) may have happened if the drone's route wasn't completed or the Remote Block's Precision mode is off?... Hope this helps ✌️🤔
@@ShArPy1o1Games been having this problem for a few days, so restarting didn’t help. I have also reset the waypoints and even tried making new ones. Precision is always on. I saw a video where a guy was having the same issue with his own drone. He fixed it with a timer that made the drone stay for a little longer. @@ShArPy1o1Games after lots of trial and error, what had happened was I had the timer and recharge timers as an action instead of an addition to the load/unload timers. It’s working now.
Also what is happening with his Drone at the 30:00ish Min mark...... I have a "Secure Dock Timer" aka the Load/Unload timers which are set to lock the Drones connector and to Turn OFF its autopilot to stop it from continuing and to make sure it stops and stays... (among other things like the sorters etc) it then has another timer to continue after a certain set time (2 mins i think i had it set to) to allow it to continue its route... hope this makes sense?
Seems like there’s nothing but Broken builds being uploaded to the workshop lately. I cleared out everything on every Timer Block and just tried only using the GPS points with The Auto Pilot to see if i could get this thing to work and all it does is moves over a gps point and stutters in the air. 🤦🏽♂️ anyone else having this issue ?

Why my drone slams down when i put an approach gps point over my connector (dock gps point). The drone will slam into it and won't work properly. :(
