The National is unlike any other band in the world!
Thank god. They suck.
No they aren't. He has a deep voice and they play some catchy indie rock. But platitudes get upvotes so do your thing.
@@marshall0814 First, you capitalize God, it's a name. Second, I'm sure you enjoy listening to country twang, or even further, typical rap music but it's hard for me to imagine someone like you having poor taste in music. It must suck liking trash radio music, rap, mainstream music.
Except Interpol, Nick Cave, New Order, LCD Soundsystem...
I can hear Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, Nick Cave in their music.
I've never heard him talk this much, it's wonderful!
The moment people are feeling what you do they think you are the coolest no matter how awkward you are. It doesn't matter how you look, dress or act, for them its just right.
He's awesome
wow, amazing
he is mesmerizing
I’m so glad to get this interview and watch it! Seeing him do the new album & launching his career “Serpentine Prison” song “One More Second” and talk about people weren’t paying attention while they were in this metamorphosis and transitioning🐛🦋 What a beautiful transition this man Matt Beringer has evolved into💁♀️💖🎤🎶🙌
god damn lyrical genius
respect
He's so special
Seems like every good band that had formed in the 2000s points back to The Strokes, yet I feel like a ton of people still sleep on The Strokes as a band. They're phenomenal and started the re-revolution of good music, especially in the digital and shitty pop age.
Eh, not necessarily pointing to any specific band in particular, not even the strokes. Because Keane, The national, Arcade Fire, Interpol and more all had and have great music but they don't point at anyone because they each have their own unique sound. Also, nobody sleeps on the strokes, there are millions of listeners on their platforms like the national. Why would you want the strokes to be more heard about anyway, just so they fall into the mainstream shit like you said about this shitty pop these days? I don't think this type of music formed from any one specific band, they all just tinkered with keyboards and strings and vocals until they each found their rhythms. Nothing more.
Nah. Lots of people love the Strokes. Maybe just not enough for you.
Don’t worry about it.
They were a Mickey Mouse band!
There’s a guy singing on the “I am easy to find” album ?!?!? 🤯😂
what a good insight to a now well established band
Glad he reconsidered that hairdo.
Thank god! You changed it, otherwise I’d be so lonely.
But does he still owe money?
I reckon he would've paid off all of the principal and interest by now lol what do you think?
To the money, to the money he owes
Damn Im 2 years to late for the money I owe joke

He left Ohio
Heisenberg with long hair
I think what Matt meant by "shitty band" is the "best band."
Why
hair is insufferable
He’s a terrible singer
I think he is monotone, but it's the right tone for his kind of music.
