Love the sound of that KX500 and he made it look effortless. I used to own one. The thing was so beastly powerful, it pulled like a tractor. Could short shift through the gears and still tear along at insane speeds. Long live the Braap!
the kx500 is just like.. "meh >__>.. too easy. when does the race start?" props to the rider though that takes real skill and balls to ride like that, they should bring back 500cc 2 strokes because there's proof they can be ridden fast and sound awesome!
Factories pay top riders to ride 4-strokes so all the up and comers feel like they need 4-strokes and then the dealers make tons of money fixing all the blown engines. 2-Strokes were better, are better, and will always be better.
The 4-stroke, CC against CC, will always loose. The suspensions are not anything special on a 4 stroke especially if both 2 stroke and 4 stroke are built by same suspension tuner with same valving quality. Modify a 4stroke to make big power, you can do the same to a 2-srtoke to make bigger power. The factories push 4-strokes and put all there money into 4 stroke riders because Iike I said in a previous post, the dealers rake in loads of cash fixing blown up 4 strokes. In Canada a 250 2 stroke has won the 250 pro championship 2 years in a row...and that is with a stock 2-stroke! Time to set the record straight on this debate - using math...math doesn't lie. Im using the factory specs to do the math for this comparison both bikes stock; Bike: Yamaha YZ250F Weight = 231 lbs HP = 39 Power to weight ratio = 0.168 HP per pound Bike: Yamaha YZ 250 (2-Stroke) Weight = 218 lbs HP = 49 Power to weight ratio = 0.224 HP per pound Bike: Yamaha YZ450F Weight = 247lbs HP = 56 Power to weight ratio = 0.226 HP per pound My YZ250 (2 Stroke) Bike: 1998 (yep thats right) YZ 250 (2 Stroke) Weight 212 lbs HP after engine mods and Fat Pipe = Dyno run showed 59 HP Power to weight ratio = 0.279 HP per pound As you can see, a stock YZ250 (2-stroke) has far greater power to weight ratio then the 250F and almost identical power to weight ratio to 450F. The debate is over. My older YZ 250 has best power to weight ration by far even against the 450F. Note: Its easy to make more power over stock with a 2-stroke; It costs many thousands to get any real power gain out of a 4 stroke.
@@rossy2998 power is controlled at the wrist. Having ample extra available power is always a gain. Why? Lets say your running a guy down that's infront, but you cant get the pass done because you are both equal riders, but, there is one section of track that is wide open throttle for 3 gears, almost to 5th. If your bike has the extra "unusable power", guess what??? Yep, you can out accelerate, be first to the braking zone and make the pass. Never underestimate the importance of extra available power.
Its like going to an unlimited hydro race and listening to those big-cool sounding Allison piston boats instead of the jet boats. Listen 1:39 at the Kx going down the straight!
All the manufacturer’s just neeed to bring back 2 strokes. You can beat the smell and sound. The AMA can make classes for 125, 250, 500 for the pro riders more classes, more money 💰
Wow he's riding that Kx500 well. I've got a Cr500 but I wont take it on the track or jump it, I just don't feel right with the suspension on that thing. Its perfect for the dunes though
Srib 250cc is what you are looking for. Some 500s in the vid too but you are far from even thinking about getting that lol. You're welcome. The vid had 125-500cc 2 stroke bikes. - I own a 2001 YZ250. Yami makes great 2 strokes so you can't go wrong with them :)
This is how motocross should be like, the guy who can handle the machine the best on the day. Not who's bike is tuned up and set up right on the day by his mechanics. And that's not to mention the noise! Wet fart vs orgasm. Enough said
Kirk McCoy agreed. Lots of people I have found are selling their four strokes because they're too costly to maintain , especially when a engine blows up.
👍2 Strokes were affordable racing for privateers & low matenince compared with todays high strung 4 Stroke MXers- No friggin Valve Clearence Nightmare👎-Just Occasional Ring or Piston Replacement - & Eventual Barrel Re-Bore or Re-Plate after a couple Seasons- if Maintained Correctly - With Correct Oil/Fuel Ratio & Religious Airfilter Cleaning & Oiling- Folks Have Finally Woken - Unless Your a Sponsored Pro- Get a 2 Stroke & Enjoy Riding/Racing For Best Fun:$$ Ratio- Cheers-👍🍺🍻
what needs to happen is when they have these races we need to go in the thousands and just pack thses races with fans to show we like 2-strokes better than those terd 4-pokes !
The sound of that kx500 is orgasmic!
Aidan Korper lol
Love the sound of that KX500 and he made it look effortless. I used to own one. The thing was so beastly powerful, it pulled like a tractor. Could short shift through the gears and still tear along at insane speeds. Long live the Braap!
Yep. Ride like a 450 off the pipe hen sing like a 2t only can. Absolute tractors 🚜
Sounds better than the lawnmowers ridden today.
I’m a retired open class pilot from the 80’s and 90’s, and I just love watching that Fast House KX 500!😎☠️🤘
Sean collier on the KX500 the guys a monster!
Congratulations! No stupid dub step just pure sound 👍🏻
Pro racing SO needs to bring 500 cc 2-stroke racing back! That Green 500 was awesome!
To this day, I've still never ridden a big-bore 2-stroke. I'd love to take a spin on one before I die. And hopefully won't die in the process. Hahaha!
Ul spin on this soon amen!!! No u won't die☺️😍
Scott Shirey always puts a smile on my face
Maureen Ngesa
+Scott Shirey I never got to ride one either. I know I got hurt enough while riding 2 stroke 250's LOL
They are smooth.Like a Caddy..Low end grunt..I bought an 82 YZ 490 a few years ago..What a blast. It's starting it that was the problem.

I think it was Sean Collier.
Perfect track for a 500 with hill climbs like that.
Damn, sure would be cool to see the 500cc class return. I wanted to see that kx500 rip up the hill.
Lucky, I am old enough to have ridden open class Motocross on a local level. But it was an awesome memory.
KX500 ftw
Nothing like the sound of a 500 gives me chills. That's how mx should be. Give the 4 pokes a class of their own. 2 strokes forever!
looks a lot like my kx500. beautiful bike, this guy can really ride, making that heavy bike fly threw the air with ease and brought home the win.
that kx500 pulls so hard omfg
my favorite part was the BRAP
CR2504life what about the BWAAAAA

So damn stoked you guys put this up, thanks!

Whoever's on that kx 500 is smooth and I love the sound of it. So fresh
That was the best music that I've heard in quite awhile. Raw 2 strokes. I bet it smelled great too !
that sound sounds like the good old days
bring back the 90s!
The sound of the kx is great!
The KX 500 was a 1997 bike! Why are we messing around with expensive and slow 4 strokes !

Very cool! I sure miss the two-strokes in pro motocross.
Loved it! Who could dislike this video!!!?
Its like going to an unlimited hydro race and listening to those big-cool sounding Allison piston boats instead of the jet boats. Listen 1:39 at the Kx going down the straight!
Thanks for no 'homo" music...like it...!
Sean Collier #207 - Fasthouse on the KX500

I've seen that little guy on the Honda at Milestone on the Main track. Damn he is really fast
40 dislikes are from engineers at Honda
2Stroke my favorite song!! 👍
A 500 2 stroke at Glen Helen is a certain holeshot
All the manufacturer’s just neeed to bring back 2 strokes. You can beat the smell and sound. The AMA can make classes for 125, 250, 500 for the pro riders more classes, more money 💰

2 strokes for life
That kx500 is killing everyone
can someone tell me what cc year are those 2 strokes? thinking of getting 2000s 2 stroke and doing it up with new parts. I cant be bothered with 4's

Still love to see a 2stroke race. Love the new bikes, but not like the 2strokes
0:58 sounds amazing!
Brownie #3 was a 125 specialist.
TORKiT hell yeah ! i've seen him riding 125cc in MX GP class back in the day. He won the race and the title !
His Procircuit days on the KX125 were fun to watch.
This is how motocross should be like, the guy who can handle the machine the best on the day. Not who's bike is tuned up and set up right on the day by his mechanics. And that's not to mention the noise! Wet fart vs orgasm. Enough said
Please..please...GET RID OF THE 4-Stroke..... it has wrecked ever level of racing. Real racing is.... 2-strokes.
Kirk McCoy I couldn't agree more

I love this comment
Someone needs to build a 500 2 stroke again! They would need to market it as an off-road race bike like the yz 250x and I guarantee they would sell!
Does anyone know the guy on the kx500 throwing it about as if it was a pw50 ?
I sure do miss these bikes in racing. Still fun to watch but not the same game at all.
I miss the sound and smell of two smokes at the track. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Oil.

Two strokes rule !
what needs to happen is when they have these races we need to go in the thousands and just pack thses races with fans to show we like 2-strokes better than those terd 4-pokes !
