Very helpful Brian, I just got a new Santa Fe and the cruise control is completely different from my 2018 model. Your explanation is far easier than trying to find it in the owner’s manual! (Plus you drive on the correct side of the road, same as Australia!)

I will be driving a new community car Hyundai Tuscan. Practice drive yesterday and No Idea how cruise works - couldn’t find anything in the book! Other functions on that panel and no idea what they do either! On the road later today so now I’m a little more informed - thank you, Margie-in-Oz
It's very odd. Tried several i30 models yesterday, and thought I was doign something wrong, but it does indeed seem like it doesn't show the SET speed value, just the word SET. But for LIMIT it does state the value. Annoying.
@@doolanbrian 2018 elantra sel the"value edition" they called it,I can't believe they make you scroll through menus I had figured they'd block it because other functions on the steering wheel are disabled while in drive.
Also I had meant I had other branded cars i could figure out with no direction what so ever,the Hyundais still haven't tried yet haven't been on the highway,will tell you after I get to work tomorrow night
@@ronmatson5502 Understood, unfortunately I am unfamiliar with the elantra as we don’t get it in this country.. But it should be straightforward , the only other option then is to go back to a dealer and see what they think ??
Very helpful, but, you talk fast and I'm 74 with Alzheimer's so I had to listen twice. Still, I got the car brand new in 2020 and it will be nice to use cruise control. Now I just have to make sure I remember when I have it on. LOL

My i30N has Cruise Control but NO speed limit function !!!! I used it loads in my old C Class too....

I've had my 2018 for 2 years and haven't been able to figure it out and I had 3 rentals in this time I was able to figure them out in minutes.

I no longer have one in stock, but from recollection when you hold it, it seems to jump in larger increments🙂👍
