hello, congratulations for the video. I also have a Kolibri 390, powered by a 3.5 hp mercury. When I sail abruptly at about 12 km now it caves and loses speed. Have you encountered this problem with your engine? Have you fitted a long or short shaft motor? thanks Alessandro
I have a short shaft. Mine also caves if there are waves but at around 18km/h. In this video it was full speed at some point with no issues. What I noticed is that it happens on waves due to my air deck, somehow it catches and holds water under it and at some point it jumps over it…if this makes sense. It should be fine I guess with a rigid wooden deck. Didn’t try a hydrofoil, that could also help

How stable that kayak is when anchored? Is it possible to stand stable? Im thinking about buying one of these.
I haven’t anchored it but on a lake you should be fine. You can fish standing up no problem.
