Praise the Lord, Alleluia!!!! just passed the Nclex (first try) Jesus did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Prof D for sharing your knowledge, May God continue to bless you .we love you❤
I passed my NCLEX on my first try with 75 questions and I got this question about « newborn hypoglycemia and checking temperature « « I’m glad that I watched this video before I take the NCLEX. Thanks professor D , You helped me pass the HESI and NCLEX. I’m very happy. I’m a nurse!!
It is amazing how they try to trick us! Professor D is amazing at breaking down these trick questions/answers so that we understand the why. Congrats on passing NCLEX!!
question #1, "the nurse knows more teaching is needed when the mother states.. " I had to listen closely to Professor D to understand why cerebral palsy is the answer. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. GOD bless you!
This is the first time I’ve ever commented on an individual’s UA-cam, and I found it so very necessary. I just wanted to say your faith in Jesus Christ is transcendent! I thank you for opening your content with a prayer. Also, I hope this hasn’t already been asked/answered, but I’d like to learn of what other languages you speak. Fascinating! I truly appreciate you for all that you do. It is with your information that I’ve been able to successfully complete 5 out of 6 semesters in my RN program. You are truly a beacon to faith and to nursing. Take so much care!
Hi Prof D, I am studying for NCLEX and found ur u tube yesterday. The way teach is absolutely sticking in my brain while I get to laugh in between. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I love that you are so real! I can always hear you saying “I know your not going to pick this answer because your not a killer” lol when I see questions about specific topics I can hear your voice! Love you so much ❤thank you for what you do. Your truly amazing a gift from our father GOD. Thank you so much
I passed my NCLEX finally today, you are awesome mam. 😄All credit goes to you, you are life saver 🙏 Thank you, thank you sooo much ❤️ Love and respect 🍀to you
Hello, Professor D. I discovered your channel from my little brother currently in nursing school. I graduated in 2009 and took the NCLEX for the first time on April 30th this year and I passed because of you. Thank you so much for all that you do! God bless you!
Hello, professor D thank you so much for your vedio ....im from ethiopia im pediatric nursing student .....I will have exit exam after 7 day ... thank's for all your lecture ....you are so real
My classmate and I were In class yesterday and said what did nexus nursing say !! You better not get that answer wrong again 😭 I love it thank you so much
I love listening to these videos after my weekly Maternal Health SimLab. It really helps solidify concepts that I had just gone over with my instructor & cohort, as well as take note on what to focus on that I don't understand so well. Thank you Prof D, keep making these. They are so helpful!!
I love you, how you teach, and your content. I passed my med surg and pharm HESI because of you. Taking maternity now, I would like to see more of newborn disorders
Hi professor D. Great video. I’m having another professor D week. I’m gonna watch all your maternity and pediatrics videos. You are simply the best.🙏🏽 Thanks for all your videos.
i tell allll my classmates how awesome you are & show them your channel! you are the BEST!! thank you so much for all you do! beautiful soul inside & out! God bless you❣️
Professor D, could you make a video about all the diagnostics tests and nursing considerations and patient teaching? Please and thank you. There are so many of them and I get confuse one from another.
Professor D you are amazing! I learn more with you then I do with my teachers, thank you for all you do and please don't stop making these videos! I do have a question, the first question you went over I think it was worded wrong on the screen.. it should of been "which was the wrong answer " which would of been cerebral palsy like you stated but instead the question read "which one was successful teaching". thank you again
Hi Professor, I'm confused by the first question because what I see on the screen is not the same question you read. Can you elaborate on the correct answer for this question or is it the same answer regardless of how it was read vs what the screen says? You read, " the nurse knows that more teaching is needed" but the screen says, "The nurse knows that the teaching was successful." So is more teaching needed if the mom says cerebal palsy or was the teaching successful because the mom sais cereal palsy?
When you said “corn” head I lost it! I won’t forget why babies wear their caps in the nursery. :) You are a blessing to me. And my nursing cohort. Thanks so much for all your help. I promise you I can hear your voice in my head when I take my tests - do you know that you know that you know that you know? , physiological integrity, SATA is asking you true/false. Thanks so much!
I wish I watched your videos when i took fundamentals! You are AMAZING!!! You actually make it fun and keep people engaged throughout the video! I don't know if you already made videos about this already but I have to take Med Surg 1 next so any videos would be so so so helpful for that because i heard its the hardest class in the program! Thank you for being great!
This is so helpful because I know my content but I get so confused with test taking strategies. Ive been improving a lot using Archer review after watching your videos thank you so much.
This is awesome. I work in Peds Psych, are taking the PED-BC in January and want to get a per diem at a children's hospital in the future. You are sooooooo informative, entertaining and helpful. So glad that I found your channel!
This is what Google pulled up, I'm not sure if this is the word you were thinking of at 18:12 : " Galactorrhea of the newborn (neonatal milk or witch's milk) occurs in about 5% of neonates and in both sexes. The term “witch's milk” comes from ancient folklore that fluid leaking from a newborn's nipple was a source of nourishment for witches' familiar spirits."
Sorry professor D, I'm a little confused at 22:00 to 22:16 of the video... It's the question about the nurse being the advocate for the circumsized baby. You mentioned initially that the answer was 2, and then mentioned that the answer was 3 for that same question. I'm sorry but can you clarify ?
Hi professor I’m going to take quiz 4 on Newborn care any recommendations to help me pass my test? I been studying but I feel I need something extra to help answer the correct question
Can you talk about a fundamental of nursing tips to pass, I did passed pharmacology but I did not pass Fundamentals of nursing and I’m super sad about it and I need to repeat the class again.
Question one seems oddly worded because it’s asking if “the teaching was successful when the mother states the test screens for the presence in the newborn for which of the following diseases?” In the answer you pick the one thing that the blood test does not screened for which was cerebral palsy? All the others are genetic, hormonal, or metabolic disorders. Also, cerebral palsy is a disorder not a disease. I was confused or maybe just by the wording and explanation.
Praise the Lord, Alleluia!!!! just passed the Nclex (first try) Jesus did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Prof D for sharing your knowledge, May God continue to bless you .we love you❤
That’s awesome!!!! You did it!! Congratulations!!!!🎊🎉🍾🎈

Correct, I got confused at first and then realized it is how the question is phrased.. she needs further teaching!
Glad I checked the comments for this one. The question on the screen didn't match what she said! Confused me for the whole question lol
I rushed down to the comments after reading the questions 3 times lol.
so was the question just worded incorrectly? cause i think the answer would apply is the scenario was that she needed further teaching
Me too😂 I got confused thank you for this

I m studying nursing in Kashmir I want to know how I should start my study for NCLEX or other competitive exams.
Hi professor D, question 1 is a bit confusing. On-screen it says teaching is successful, but you said more teaching is needed. Please clarify
Yeah, Professor D, I don't understand question 1.
It's been a year but am just watching this and am confused about question 1
Thank you so much. 💓
Question one seems oddly worded because it’s asking if “the teaching was successful when the mother states the test screens for the presence in the newborn for which of the following diseases?”
In the answer you pick the one thing that the blood test does not screened for which was cerebral palsy? All the others are genetic, hormonal, or metabolic disorders. Also, cerebral palsy is a disorder not a disease.
I was confused or maybe just by the wording and explanation.
When is the second time you do Apgar score kindly?
5 minutes after birth
