Wouldn't taking it to the wand wash work better to clean out the cooling fins?

you might also look at getting a fin straightener as small sections of bent fins can cause hot spots and lessen efficiency

How about Freon level? Are these like auto air units? May sound like a dumb question.

sargint rock typically refrigerant levels won’t change unless there’s a leak. These might be 134-A but “normally” you wouldn’t have to add. Very reasonable question tho.

sargint rock my pleasure. Not an expert but the fridges at work are similar to these and they are pretty reliable. Take care

It would be fairly easy to pry the sink up, leaving the hose(s) connected, and simply swing it out of your way. You could then access the front of the A/C quite easily. And a hose would be much more efficient in cleaning the outside.

There are top vents on the outside being blocked by your ac cover which doesnt remove. Pull the cover back to let the coil breathe a little more.

"going nowhere fast" has a good video on replacing the aircon unit

The air unit in this video has been working great since I did this cleaning. It doesn't get used a lot. Maybe 5 or 6 trips when we used the air.

I backed-up in my chair when you pulled the filter. Lol. Very good video. Thanks! Sud’d too

Surprised it worked long enough to get dirty.

This situation is intriguing me as another Aliner page has a guy stating that he has camped in ALL situations and his window unit would drive him out if he left it on and that goes for his factoey furnace in cold weather! Hmmmmmmmm?

Not sure what "drive him out" means.

@@sargintrock2538 I just change the settings on my air conditioner until I get it just right. I like it on the cool side anyway if I'm inside a little trailer like an Aliner. Small little space heaters work great if it's cold outside. Never had any problems with either cold or hot if I have electricity and the machines are working properly.
