Thanks to the Ryokan Gozu for helping us with accommodation! www.ryokangozu.com
In this video we have our first day of snowboarding in Hakuba Japan. We're riding at Happo-One Hakuba ski resort, which is one of the largest and most popular mountains in Japan. Our goal for today is to explore some the of the trees find some deep snow for our powder snowboards. Today I'm riding the Nitro Pow and TJ is riding the Rossignal Sushi. Our first few runs were spent snowboarding in some of the trees accessible from the groomed runs. You're not allow to ride all trees because of hazards in the snow. Then we did a short hike to find some alpine snowboarding, which end up being some of the best powder turns on our lives! We finished the day by picking up some instant Ramen noodles from the local grocery store. Thanks for watching!

7:55 This is the perfect clip to show elderly relatives when they ask, "so what is this ski-boarding thing you get so excited about each winter?"
No need for insanely sheer inclines, technical lines, or olympic level flippy-dippy jumps that will only make your grandmother fear for your life every time you mention where you're going. Just a long, unedited, pure beautiful powder run set in front of spectacular mountains, backed by the perfect choice of music. Bravo!

What an epic run. Like you say, nothing crazy, just floating down a mountain on a blanket of powder.

My girlfriend and I were in japan around the same time this year. We went snowboarding on a different mountain but really enjoyed the snow and went through heaps of trees and so much powder. Watching this video took me back to the experience but you guys are way more EXTREME! Keep up the great content!

Holy sheesh....this channel is seriously blowin' up with all these trips...Hopefully you guys are realizing how much this is helping the rest of us out who don't get to the mountain as much. I don't get to snowboard much, other than a few times a year, (Calgary Canada - Lake Louise, and Calgary Olympic Park-COP), so seeing this vicariously with you guys all across the States, and Whistler, Europe and now Japan is truly INCREDIBLE. Please keep it up, and thanks for the inspiration to get out there no matter what it takes!
