Starting 1658, Maharana Raj Singh stopped paying jizya to Aurangzeb immediately after he came to power, reclaimed all Mewar outposts from the Mughals, rescued Charumati who was being forced to marry Aurangzeb, and got the murti of Shri Nath ji from Mathura placed in his own kingdom - now known as Nathdwara. Not known to people, he even arrested Aurangzeb twice.

Thanks for bringing this historical facts. Nation is proud of Rajput warriors. History of islamic rulers revolves around Delhi and Agra and some pockets in South surrounded by local Hindu kingdoms. Maps displaying islamic spread needs deliberate factual correction to every 25 to 30 years spread. Area of all kings be depicted correctly. Myth of 800 years of islamic rule needs to be corrected.

You are wrong... not all rajuput were fighting. Rajput of UP, Bihar and other northern and central India and even major Rajasthani Rajput were either surrender or not fighting and accepted mugal Rule.

I am proud of being Mewari. Many of the Rajasthan's brave warrior kings hail from Mewar. Maharana Pratap, Bappa Rawal, Rana Sangha, Rana Kumbha. Even in modern history, Pratap Singh Baharat (prominent freedom fighter from Rajasthan) was from Mewar. And now its the first time I am hearing about Maharana Raj Singh. Thank You.

Sultan sent an expedition to recover Princess Gindoli, which was again soundly defeated by Mahecha Rathore Rajputs.
18-When Ghori was defeated in 1178 when he attacked Gujarat, a large part of his army was taken captive - which included Turkish, Persian and Afghan women. Muslim women of aristocratic rank were converted to Hinduism and married off too local Rajputs.
19- Raval Chechak of Jaisalmer married the daughter of Sultan Haibat Khan - she was converted into a Hindu.
20- Jagmal Rathore of Marwar defeated Sultan of Gujarat in 1399 and married his daughter Gindoli and their children were brought up as Hindu Rajputs.
21- During reign of Rao Ranmal in Marwar, there was an instance where 600 captive Turkish women were married off to his Rajput retainers.
22- When Rana Kumbha capture Nagore, Turkish women who were taken prisoner were married off to his Rajput soldiers.
23- Maharana Pratap had a half brother named Saheb Khan who was born to a Muslim wife of Rana Udai Singh (father of Maharana Pratap).
24. A zameendari in Bihar called Tikari had five of the females from the Muslim noble households out of which one was from Kashmir known as Barsati Begum who was married to Maharaja Mitrajeet Singh of Tikari.

Both Robert Omre's 'Historical Fragments' Pg: 85 and Manucci's 'Storia do Magor 1653-1708 Mughal' pg: 241 - Campaign of Udaipur talks about Aurangzeb and his army's imprisonment (for more than a day - without food) and his flight back to the safety of Ajmer post the magnanimity of Rana Raj Singhji. Post this Udaipur campaign which resulted in utter Mughal loss, Aurangzeb never ventured back to Mewar! Naman to the great Rana Raj Singhji!
That's true. Aurangabad ran away leaving his wives. Probably near Bhilwara region ( Banera or Hurda).
