I wanted to say that I made an audio mistake around 6:08 The Love You Make was published in 1983 NOT 1993. Sorry for this its in the script correctly and I actually received the original book back in 1984/85.
Good job on the videos! Very much enjoying these insider bios. Peter Brown is somewhat immortalized in The Beatles song The ballad of John & Yoko in the lines "Peter Brown called to say, "You can make it okay You can get married in Gibraltar, near Spain". Lucky man. I've never heard any of the inner circle like Mal, Brian, Neil or anyone else name dropped! He was totally accurate about Allen Klein, the man was pond scum. Look what he did to George Harrison and the whole Chiffons "He's so fine" plagiarism deal. A good man, who lived a good life. RIP. Keep up the great work!👍
i think klein gets a bad rap. he got the stones the best "royalty" deal in the business at that time. then he got the beatles a better one! WHICH THEY DESERVED! he might not've been the most congeniel guy in the world but he was a tough and shrewed negotiator. this is business and in business you don't get the best deals by being "nice" to those trying to screw you.
There were great!Thank you!🙏 I have a picture book 📕 of John and Yoko’s Wedding,💒 as well! It’s in a picture book, that has black and white photo’s in it.I can’t believe that I’ve read Peter Brown’s book 📕 in the Spring of 1981,or maybe,in the spring of 1982?Another book 📕 was;The Love you make by a;Phillip Norman. This was a great 👍 book 📕 to read about the Beatles!I should read that John Lennon book by…..an Albert Goldman. It was printed in 1988.The picture book was by The daily Mail. It’s the lives of John Lennon. There’s a new one out by a James Patterson, called;Lennon.I think,it was published last year?
👍 Love your videos G! I have to admit when I read "Who Was Peter Brown ?" My first thought was The Beatles first drummer. (remember I'm Old & on Medication. You do, obviously, thorough research. One of the things I like is the way you present the photograpshs. They always go along with what you are talking about and include the Person you are talking about. Very interesting, I had no idea who Peter Brown was. ✌
peter brown's name will forever be a part of rock history for being mentioned in the beatles song "the ballad of john and yoko." its always cool to hear about the people behind the "success". you know i was mentioned in 2 beloved beatles tunes? both "nowhere man" and "fool on the hill." these songs fit my life to a "t." how'd john and paul know about my life without ever knowing i was even alive? were they psychics? thanks for the video.
He was a key individual in the transitional period when Brian Epstein died. He, along with Neil Aspinall, were very important in running Apple before Klein got involved.

Really appreciate your devoted research. Here's a question. I thought Freda handled the fan mail (per documentary Good Ol' Freda). Here we learn Peter Brown handled it. Do you know how to make sense of these two separate fan mail narratives?
He didn't quit the Beatles org to live a quieter life...he was kicked out for being a disloyal arsehole. banished into the outer darkness by Paul for betraying confidences. pretty scummy thing to do.
No you are completely wrong. He was with The Beatles until they disbanded. Paul and the rest had nothing to do with him after he published his book in 1983, 13 years after they broke up because he betrayed their confidence. Please check your facts before you leave rude comments. But YES a pretty scumming thing to do I agree.
I'll just correct that comment about the Beatles being one of the most influential bands. The MOST, influential band of all time. FACT, not opinion!!!!!
I'm reading Michael's memoir and I'm disappointed so far. Didn't realize he had such a coke, pot and alcohol issue, but to his credit he got straight with his wife at the same time together. Kinda like Ringo and his wife. Michael is extremely insecure. Fucked up relationship with his parents, but especially his Irish Dad. Stayed married with his first wife and his kids are normal, so What A Fool Believes is right.

Perfectly done. Peter Brown is much overlooked. So many parts of the "Beatles" world. Thank you for this.
Thanks so much!

@@ron.owensby Imagining Yoko singing it should help. Might also cause dry heaves and acid reflux, but hey.. Songs gone!😁

Yes I owned it in 83 when recording my voiceover I said it wrong. In fact I had to just go back and listen for myself and I did indeed say that wrong

It was during different times there was so much mail and Frieda did handle I believe from what I saw most of it but Peter had his hand in it as well.
And thank you so so much I really appreciate it honestly
3 seconds in Fabs don't look very happy
Browns book "The love you Make" 1983 was just as offensive as Goldman's "The lives of John Lennon" 1988.
Yeah a lot of people agree with you there!
