Thanks for this. I’m 41, trying to get back what I lost. I’m going back to school and at the moment doing online physics through Coursera. It’s mechanical engineering (went to engineering as a young man n mistakes let’s say 😂 😞). As said now trying to get back n get my brain back to math, physics n engineering. Thanks n see you on other videos. Now just need to get organized better 😂

ur videos have been super helpful! Crazy that I been watching your channel throughout my phys 1 and phys 2 class only now to notice that you have taught at my school which is Elgin communty college. Keep up the great work.

@@PhysicsNinja One quick question. For the second way that you choose to solve the problem (starting at 6:33) by first finding the magnitude and direction of the magnetic field instead of the force. I realize that you choose the direction of the magnetic field from the bottom two wires at the first (top) wire by seeing where their magnetic field were tangent with it. Now writing this question I can see how you got that tangent vector of the magnetic field but initially I thought of using the RHR. Doing so, with my thumb pointing into the screen and my middle finger pointing in the direction of the top wire which got me similar results.
Rephrasing this question more simply. Is it possible to use the RHR to find the direction of the magnetic field from the bottom two wires initially to find the direction of the magnetic field at the top wire. Or I am I just overthinking this and essentially using the RHR is basically the same idea as approximating where the tangent vector is at the top wire.

    What would I do if I wanted to know this but centered at 3? would F(tot)/L= Fx(2) - Fx(1) + Fy(2) - Fy(1) where Fy(2)=0?
