This animated Ramayana was made by Japanese director Yugo sako in 1990 to 1993 and released in 1993. Yugo had done 10 years research on making it since 1983 to 1990 and started to make this animation in 1990 and released in 1993...... During his research he flew Japan to India more than 10 times. This is the best animation Ramayana ever made he made it very cautiously by putting its values and cultural morals.....this animation is more viewed animation in in India. Almost Every children has watched it in his childhood. Ramayana teaches what is your duty about the family and society how a person's duty and ethics is more important than its own personal life and interests

The English Dub doesn't do Justice to this legendary anime. The Hindi Dub is a Masterpiece with Voice overs from Great Actors like Amrish Puri.

14 years....coz at that time rulea of land ownership was different...if an owner who abandoned his land and doesn't reclaim it within 14 years then that owner will lose the ownership of that land / Kingdom in bhagwan Ram's case

Ravana's blessing was about no body can kill him except humans & monkeys.. bcoz he didn't count them as stronger than him that y lord Vishnu born as RAM and lord Shiva as HANUMAN (monkey)...
Kumbhakarna's blessing was that he wanted INDRA-ASAN (INDRA'S THRONE)... INDRA is the king of heaven.. But instead of that He asked Brahma about NIDRA-ASAN ( SLEEP)... Mata Saraswati (goddess of knowledge and wisdom) tricked his words INDRA-ASAN to NIDRA-ASAN😅.. that's y he slept for 6 months wake up for one day EAT and back to sleep for 6months

Thanks Crombajaa. As far as the mythology part, we are doomed no matter what we say as Americans. Some Indian viewers get upset with us saying, it's history, how dare you call it mythology. So, it's challenging to know what to say, what not to say...but glad you are enjoying our reactions. Lots of love! :)
@@americansreview Yeah.. I understand. You guys are caught in the middle either way. The way things are is because of the people elected who turned/pushed the young ones into being religious fuel. They'll reap what they sow. Because of that, there is more religious tension in the country and people are easily triggered and think, anything can be said and done when it comes to religion. Sad plight. Because of the last lost decade, there is a new wave of people who are brainwashed to believe that mythology is history and day by day blurring the line between fact and fiction.
As, long as you are aware of it, that's fine too. I'm too stubborn to post this before getting piled up in the comments. Do tread carefully though when it comes to religion. Just wanted to share this. Hoping to see more!

There were lot of differences between valmiki ramayan and this movie ... This movie was not accurate ...
You are not wrong but there are so many versions of ramayana which have many major differences but at the same time many of the interesting events of story are not actually in the Valmiki ramayan so you cannot skip the other versions as well. So some inaccuracies are inevitable
